Lucky China Restaurant

This place is pretty cool. The food is really good, pretty cheap, fast, and comes in huge portions. The staff were all friendly, the decor is nice and I absolutely love the Chinese pop music that plays quietly in the background. We went on a Saturday night around 7pm and there were a couple of other people eating there and a few take-out orders...clearly it's rather under-appreciated. I'll definitely be back.

I really wish i could give this place zero stars based on customer service. I ordered from them and the lady took my card expiration date wrong. I got a call back and the man ran the card with the correct date and it went through. After several hours waiting for my food to arrive i called the restaurant back and the same lady told me that my card was declined and i had no money. I told her that I talked to someone and the matter was resolved. I asked when my food would be here since i had been waiting for over 2 hours by now. She yelled that it was my fault and hung up on me. I called back to speak to a manager and again was hung up on. I tried to cancel my order and she told me its on its way and hung up on me again. When I called the next day to speak with management he made a bunch of excuses saying she was new. Never will i order from here again.

Do not order for delivery. They told me it would take 45-50 minutes. It took an hour and fifteen minutes to even get to my complex, and the delivery driver called me and couldn't find my apartment. I spent over ten minutes on the phone trying to explain to him where I was, but he didn't understand anything I was saying and I didn't understand what he was saying. He kept saying he was outside, and I waited outside for 10 minutes. He was never outside. I finally hung up and called the restaurant to cancel my order. They tried to convince me not to and wouldn't let me, saying they promised the driver was outside. Even after I told them no, the driver was not outside, they continued to insist he was. I refused to pay seeing as I didn't receive my food for an hour and 45 minutes, and they finally agreed to cancel it...we'll see if the charge shows up on my account.

Okay in reading all the reviews, yes I agree DON'T do delivery. Just do pick up or dine -in if you do dine-in do it only in the summertime...they have the air condition turn down, you'll freeze to death in the winter. In reference to their food, it is still one of the best place in the Decatur area.

The food was ok. The service was ok. Main problem: the interior of this place smells weird... like dirty wet dog. Our table hadn't been wiped before we were seated. We almost walked out, but decided to stay because we already ordered drinks. Ordered "safe bet" meals. Crab rangoons were good. Sweet and sour chicken sauce tasted like it was from a jar, meh. Sesame chicken was fine. Didn't eat it all because we wanted to get away from this creepy place!
