About Lucky China

Lucky China is a Chinese Restaurant located at 1315 US-27, Berne, IN 46711, USA. You can place a takeout order by calling them at (260) 589-3531 or their mobile number +1 260-589-3531.

Customers have noted the prompt service, with orders being ready for pickup in the quoted time of around 15 minutes. The staff is described as friendly. One customer mentioned that the pickup window has an unusual and somewhat uninviting feel.

The food quality has generally received positive feedback. Dishes like the fried rice are highlighted as very good. The General Tso's spicy chicken was reported to be flavorful, although not particularly spicy. Overall, the food is considered good.

Lucky China appears to be accommodating to dietary needs, as one vegan customer from Pittsburgh, who considers themselves a foodie, found the veggie fried rice (ordered without egg) and veggie mei fun (ordered without egg) to be excellent, even comparing favorably to their go-to options back home. This suggests that Lucky China is a "mom and pop shop" that caters to specific requests and may be a notable option for vegan diners in Berne, potentially being the only dedicated vegan choice besides a nearby Mexican restaurant.

If you are in Berne and looking for a Chinese Restaurant offering takeout with friendly service and the potential for vegan options, Lucky China is worth checking out.

Ordered carry out over the phone. They said it would be ready in 15 minutes, and it was. Lady wad friendly. Very odd pick-up window though, feels uninviting. The food was good. Fried rice, white rice, and general tsos spicy chicken. The fried rice was very good. The general tso chicken was not very spicy, but other than that, it was delicious. Overall, good.

Honestly, good food. I’m vegan, from Pittsburgh, and a bit of a foodie. This place might be a hole in the wall but they’re good - in fact better than my go-to back home. It’s a mom and pop shop and they cater to your needs. Here on business and ordered their veggie fried rice (no egg) and veggie mei fun (no egg) for dinner tomorrow with a couple spring rolls. Great place, check it out. Probably your only vegan option in Berne aside from the Mexican place next to the hotel

five star rating for their staff and customer service, they're outstandingly helpful and thorough which I deeply appreciate. the one star is solely based on the food selection and quality, i am an avid fan of Asian cuisine and have made it a mission to try every Asian restaurant I come across in my travels. The food itself isn't horrible as the options are truly standard quality which is due to the prefabricated versions they offer, so for anyone who prefers that particular mainstreamed option then you will absolutely enjoy this restaurant. I am accustomed to more personalized options as the town I am from makes all their dishes from scratch (I worked there in my youth and adored learning of the techniques and skill involved in producing so many common favorites from scratch), so I appreciate that quality difference moreover. I do enjoy this restaurant, and will not hesitate to order from them in the future as I've enjoyed their product on five separate occasions at current. I would like to see a little more pizazz though, instead of feeling like I put on pants to go to the grocery store to buy some Asian cuisine from the frozen section and paid someone a few dollars to heat it up for me. I would also like to note I understand budgets involved in owning a business, and the differences in Asian cultures means dishes of the same name are not always prepared in the same manner - that is one of my favorite parts of exploring Asian restaurants in my travels. so in closing, if you're craving Asian food this is a solid choice to satiate that craving🙌🏻

Love Lucky China! We order carry-out frequently, and the service is ALWAYS super quick and the food is SO good! You can't go wrong ordering your dinner from this place. If you're looking for a great deal, try one of their combination dinners! For $7.45, you get a portion of an entree, chicken fried rice, one egg roll, and one crab rangoon. It's enough to satisfy every craving. There are 29 (!!!) different choices. I suggest my fave, chicken with garlic sauce. But you can't go wrong with anything here, seriously.
