About Lucky Barbecue & Noodle House

Lucky Barbecue & Noodle House, located at 14505 NE 20th St Suite N, Bellevue, WA 98007, operates as a Chinese restaurant with a specialized focus on traditional Cantonese barbecue and noodle dishes. For inquiries or orders, they can be reached at (425) 381-2888 or via mobile at +1 425-381-2888. This establishment serves as a destination for local residents seeking classic Chinese roasted meats, a staple of Cantonese cuisine.

The **environment** of Lucky Barbecue & Noodle House is not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews, but based on its category as a "Noodle House" and "Barbecue" spot, it likely leans towards a functional and casual dining atmosphere. Cantonese barbecue restaurants often feature a straightforward setup, prioritizing efficient service and the display of their roasted meats. While it may not boast elaborate decor, the focus would be on cleanliness and a welcoming, no-frills environment suitable for quick meals or satisfying cravings for roasted meats. The primary business seems to involve takeout, given the nature of the reviews, suggesting that a significant portion of their customers might opt for grabbing their orders to enjoy elsewhere. Therefore, the in-store environment would likely be designed to facilitate quick order placement and pickup, possibly with some casual seating for dine-in customers.

Regarding **services**, Lucky Barbecue & Noodle House primarily offers both dine-in (implied by "Noodle House" which typically has seating) and takeout services. The reviews specifically highlight experiences with takeout orders, indicating this is a significant part of their business model. The efficiency of service and attention to order accuracy are critical aspects, especially for takeout. One customer's experience highlighted a concerning issue: "Bought a whole chubby one today, but felt the portion looking odd after I opened up the container. So I tried to go through each part of the duck. Then I found the majority of the thighs were missing." This suggests a lapse in portion control or accuracy for a takeout order. However, the subsequent positive update on this issue is crucial: "Review on 2/19/2025 - the owner issued refund the day after. Looks like they truly valued their business by taking steps to respond and improve. Hopefully next time everything will be more on track." This demonstrates a proactive approach to **customer service recovery** and a commitment from the ownership to address customer concerns and rectify mistakes. The willingness to issue a refund and the expressed intent to improve suggest that Lucky Barbecue & Noodle House values its customers and aims to maintain a good reputation. This responsiveness is a strong service feature, indicating a business that is willing to listen and adapt. The phone numbers provided facilitate direct contact for placing orders or addressing concerns.

The **features** of Lucky Barbecue & Noodle House's menu revolve around classic Cantonese barbecue items. The most prominent dishes mentioned in the reviews are **roast duck** and **roast pork**. Roast duck is a hallmark of Cantonese cuisine, known for its crispy skin and succulent meat. The initial review indicating a long-standing patronage for roast duck ("I've been going back to them whenever I felt like having some roast ducks") suggests that historically, this dish has been a strong point for the restaurant. However, the recent negative experience with a missing portion of duck thighs highlights a potential inconsistency that caused the customer to "find a new place for roast ducks now." This indicates that while the potential for excellent roast duck exists, there might be variability in execution or portioning.

The **roast pork** is another key offering, but it also received a critical review: "Ordered 1lb Roast Pork. Worst Roast pork I’ve ever had. No crispy skin can be found! Just some fatty soggy pork pieces that looks like leftovers. Don’t buy!" This strongly negative feedback regarding a core barbecue item suggests significant issues with its preparation, specifically the lack of crispy skin, which is a defining characteristic of good Cantonese roast pork. The description of it being "fatty soggy" points to a deviation from the expected quality. These detailed, though critical, reviews provide specific insights into the quality and consistency of their signature barbecue items. While the name "Noodle House" implies a variety of noodle dishes are also available, the reviews primarily focus on the barbecue meats, suggesting that these are the main draws and, at times, points of contention for customers. The restaurant's features lie in its specialization in these traditional Cantonese preparations, offering a taste of authentic Chinese barbecue to the Bellevue community.

As for **promotional information**, the provided reviews do not explicitly detail any ongoing promotions, discounts, or loyalty programs offered by Lucky Barbecue & Noodle House. However, given its nature as a Chinese barbecue and noodle house, common promotional strategies might include:

  • Lunch specials featuring smaller portions of roasted meats with rice or noodles.
  • Family meal deals or combo platters that offer a selection of different barbecued meats.
  • Seasonal specials, perhaps around Chinese holidays, offering specific traditional dishes.
  • Takeout discounts or package deals for larger quantities of roasted meats.
  • Loyalty cards or programs for frequent customers to encourage repeat business.
The swift action taken by the owner to issue a refund for the roast duck issue can itself be seen as a form of "promotion" or goodwill gesture, aiming to retain customer trust and business in the long run. This proactive customer service is a powerful, albeit indirect, form of promotion, demonstrating that the business stands behind its products and values customer satisfaction. To inquire about any current promotions or specials, prospective customers are advised to contact Lucky Barbecue & Noodle House directly via their phone numbers, or check their official website or social media presence, if available. The restaurant's primary draw and potential promotional efforts would likely center around the allure of authentic Cantonese roast meats and convenient noodle dishes.

In conclusion, Lucky Barbecue & Noodle House at 14505 NE 20th St Suite N, Bellevue, WA, is a Chinese restaurant specializing in Cantonese barbecue, particularly known for its roast duck and roast pork, alongside noodle dishes. While the environment is likely casual and functional, its service recovery efforts, demonstrated by a prompt refund for a problematic order, indicate a commitment to customer satisfaction. However, recent customer feedback suggests potential inconsistencies in the quality and portioning of its signature barbecue items. For those seeking traditional Cantonese roasted meats, Lucky Barbecue & Noodle House offers the authentic dishes, but customers might want to exercise caution or clarify expectations regarding preparation and portioning, especially for takeout orders. The owner's responsiveness to issues is a positive sign for future improvements.

I've been going back to them whenever I felt like having some roast ducks. But I might stop from now on. Bought a whole chubby one today, but felt the portion looking odd after I opened up the container. So I tried to go through each part of the duck. Then I found the majority of the thighs were missing. Don't they know that cantonese people can put a chopped duck or chicken back together? Anyway, gotta find a new place for roast ducks now.

Review on 2/17/2025 - I need a refund! Ordered 1lb Roast Pork. Worst Roast pork I’ve ever had. No crispy skin can be found! Just some fatty soggy pork pieces that looks like leftovers. Don’t buy!

Ordered two meat combo with rice (BBQ pork and roast pork). Gave it 2 stars since they left out all of the crispy skin from the roast pork, which is the best part. Leaving out the skin from roast pork is basically a cardinal sin.

This is HALF a roasted duck. I thought the portion was too little but the person behind the counter told me that's how's it is. You be the judge. I'm never going back.

My favorite place to go when I want a real meal but don't want to cook! Favorites: roast duck, century egg congee. I've tried several other dishes as well and they were all delicious. Love the large variety and quality of food here.
