Lucky Bakery & BBQ

This bakery is serving up some unique flavorful delicacies at an affordable price and great customer service. The honey glazed barbecue pork is so tender and juicy. While the black sesame seed filled bun and red bean filled sesame balls will make your mouth water after the first bite.

It has been our tasty delight to be regular customers of @Lucky Bakery & BBQ. They take pride in their food and go out of their way to please ALL their customers. My favorite custard tarts are often served to our dinner guests with a topping of fresh fruit and whipped cream. Order ahead this is justifiably a popular place !

This place is fabulous. I don't think docking them their rating has anything to due with their posted hours. It's so confusing though. One day I would see open- Friday, Sat, Sun, Monday. Next thing I know they're only opened on Friday, Sat, Sun. I drive up on Sunday evening to see them shutting down early, granted items may have sold out and my Little was bummed as she wanted a sesame ball. Great bakery, wished there was more in the display and varieties to pick from. I know in Chicago for China/Viet town the bakeries down there are stacked! Wished it was like that here too even some of the items we normally don't see here would be cool. shrimp rolls they use to sell, sponge cakes amongst other things. Still a great place.

Everytime I'm in the area, I always make a trip to Lucky's for their crispy roast pork. I only wish they had more options in the bakery. Nonetheless, you will not be disappointed with their egg tarts (of you don't mind the eggy taste). I also enjoy their steam BBQ buns and their deep fried pork dumplings. 😋

This is a pretty awful and sleazy place. My family and I have patroned this establishment a handful of times, and each time was, memorably, a very unpleasant experience. The food is SOMETIMES good, so we've returned in the past because we wanted to give Lucky Bakery & BBQ the benefit of the doubt. But today is the last time. The main woman who (I assume) runs the establishment is outstandingly mean and rude. And unfortunately racist. Racist in the sense that she DOES prioritize Chinese customers over others. This specifically happened to us today. My dad and I were in line, along with others, waiting patiently. She dealt with everyone coldly. A Chinese customer entered, literally jumped everyone else in line to place her order and got effusively friendly and special treatment. Everyone noticed this. The main woman is a cheat. She's cheated us almost every single time we've come in. She'll either run the bill up more than the value we purchased for, or the she'll short-change us on food. For example, we'd pay for 3 lbs of roast pork, go home, weigh our purchase, and it would be only 2.5 lbs. Or we'd buy 6 pastries and she would charge us for 10. The receipt is deliberately not itemized so she/the establishment can escape accountability. If you go in, bring your own scale, count your items, and check if she/they has overcharged you. When I've asked other friends/family if they've had similar experience, they've confirmed it.
