Service at Lucky 7 appears to be generally consistent with expectations for this type of restaurant. One long-time customer expressed gratitude to the "front lady," indicating a personal touch and a familiar face for regular patrons. Good place. I worked at Chatham Street and stayed nearby the next apartment. I have been visiting here for more than 14 years.. After moving to Durham. Always become my favorite late night and last minute dinner place. My wife prefers here . Whenever I went on a long trip to reach late without thinking I came here to get guaranteed food. Thanks to the chef and front lady for giving me a new year dinner. Happy New Year wishes.

The food was alright overall. Nothing was super stand out, and I have definitely had better, but it was all okay enough. We probably won't be back, their crab cheese wontons were not very chrispy. Their fried rice doesn't have enough soy sauce for our preference, and it was all just okay. We are making our way through all the chinese food restaurants in Raleigh and this one isn't at the top or bottom of the list it is squarely in the middle. Not a bad choice if you are close by but not a favorite if you have the time to go else where. Our ratings: Teriyaki Chicken 6/10 Beef pepper steak 6/10 crab rangoons 4/10 beef and broccoli 7/10 egg roll 7/10 spring roll 6/10

I don't know how this place has such good reviews. They need to update their delivery status. I called the store to order for delivery, but they don't have a driver, so I had to order through DoorDash. I got their pepper chicken with fried rice, egg roll, fried wantons, wanton egg drop soup with crispy noodles (which I had to pay extra for, and they aren't even made in the restaurant, they're bagged and hard, not crunchy and flakey), and white sauce. This food is like, half salt/MSG. Except for the fried wantons, they're completely bland and chewy, the worst I've ever had. Fried rice is decent, still salty. I love the bean sprouts. No vegetables, which I like, and good, savory flavor. Egg roll is also good, crunchy, light and flakey, filling has a tiny bit of spice, very good. The pepper chicken is more salty than peppery. The soup is literal salt water. Guys, I like salty food, this is way too much. Salt =/= flavor. Finally, the white sauce is so tangy, too tangy. Almost like that old jar of mayo in the door of your fridge. I honestly cannot finish this food. I almost never dislike my staple Chinese foods SO much that I don't just eat it anyway. Still looking for my regular Chinese place. This is NOT it. Will not be back.

This place is like ordering from McDonald's atp. Ordered general tso and asked politely to not fry chicken so hard leaving it with no meat inside but that's what I ended up with although it looked good on outside when I checked before I left. I'm sad I can not order there any longer 😞 I also get a feeling of flush throughout my body, I can sense something being off and feel sick when i eat from here but it looks so good especially the sweet and sour chicken the batter is still wet inside some times.
