Family ran restaurant that impresses with hospitality and homemade delicious food. We savored the “fancy” meatloaf and want to go back to try the fried chicken and pot roast. Mr. Loyd (Titusville native) owns the restaurant with his wife and employs several other family members to make everyone feel right at home. It’s truly a cool family environment.

Hands Down the BEST Restaurant we have ever had the pleasure of eating at! Loyd Have Mercy had AMAZING customer service from the literal second we walked in the door! The owner came out and spoke to us, the waitress Ms.V was so polite and friendly to the kiddos, and the entire experience was so much much loved and appreciated! The kids got their normal food, but my husband and I tried Oxtail and Braised Short Ribs and OH MY GOD IT WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The kids got to get gifts from the treasure box, was given suckers, and even want to go back asap! Haha! 🤤🤤 We will 110% be back again, and that’s a fact! 🩵 -Oxtail on Rice, Collard Greens, Mac and Cheese, and Fried Green Tomatoes! -Citrus Braised Short Rib, mango coleslaw, homemade potato salad -Homemade Banana Pudding

My first experience with this restaurant was good, but not fabulous, however, I decided to give them a second and third chance, and there's been a dramatic improvement, so I deleted my original review, and I am starting over. First of all, the fried chicken is delicious and I would definitely give it a little bit more salt if i'm in the kitchen, but that's my taste. I absolutely loved the ribs. Good job. The potato salad became a quick favorite, I love the fried green tomatoes, collards, and green beans. Peach cobbler was fine. Corn muffins are good. I would really love to see this restaurant. Making mashed potatoes from scratch because I think that this would complement the food really well. Overall, a very good spot for southern home cooking.

Honestly I was really excited to try this place because I’ve been seeing all the reviews, but I feel as if maybe it has so many reviews because the atmosphere is really good but the food quality was not good. It was very bland especially the oxtail the muffin was good. The mashed potatoes was OK but very bland the sweet-and-sour brussels sprouts honestly I took a bite and I probably would’ve never bought them. If I knew they would’ve tasted like burnt barbecue. No one ate them in the house. The staff was nice. It’s just the food was not at all what I was expecting And I honestly regret spending almost $40 there. The mac & cheese was creamy, but also had a grainy texture on your tongue on some bits

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Loyd Have Mercy! The food was outstanding – we tried the fried chicken, oxtail, gizzards, brussel sprouts, mac and cheese, carrot soufflé, and the collard greens! Everything was delicious! Each dish was cooked to perfection, and the flavors were simply amazing. As an added bonus, the portion sizes were more than enough for each of us and resulted in a nice take home box for another meal. Our waitress, Ms. V, provided excellent service and made us feel right at home. She was attentive, friendly, and ensured we had a great experience from start to finish. To top it all off, Loyd himself came out to check on us, had a friendly chat, and even took a picture with us along with Ms. V and his wife. The personal touch and family atmosphere made our visit even more special. We’ll definitely be back again! Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food and an exceptional dining experience.
