Lotus Room Chinese Cuisine

Hands down the BEST Chinese food I've ever had! I got an egg roll and their Mongolian Combination with a special dietary request to leave out the shrimp. There was a bit of a wait, as they were very busy, but the staff was very friendly, the restaurant and restrooms were clean, and, most importantly, the food was hot and fresh and everything was delicious! I hope this place is around for a long time, because they've got a customer for life! p.s. I only wish there was a dine-in option.

*Has the scent of typical Chinese flavors that you are not going to taste. Being a big back I'd like to say that I've had plenty of Chinese food in my days walking this earth and this place is honestly the worst I've ever had. Here is what I had to say about it. I ordered from this establishment on this past Valentine's day (2/14/25) for me and my husband. Was informed that the shrimp "fried" rice. Could not be used as a substitute for the white rice that came with the combo orders/ house specials. I was also told that there would be a wait, which was understandable. We ordered two of the General Tso's one with subbed shrimp "fried" rice, the other with normal white rice. Both dishes had soggy hint of General Tso's sauce, chicken tender sized pieces that weren't bite sized at all. The sauce was watery and collected at the bottom of the containers. White rice was over done, The Shrimp FRIED Rice was NOT by any means fried at all, white rice with undercooked shrimp & veggies. Fried was not in the room with us. I would like to state that the reason there are two (2) stars for service is due to the fact that upon ordering my food the woman who answered the phone was nice, and I thank her for that.

Absolutely dreadful! The schzuan chicken was the tiny tiny deep fried pieces. The sweet and sour wasn’t much better. Soggy! We thought was a notch above. The order taker argued with us about swapping fried rice with white rice. I can see an update charge but $8.95. Spent $60 on complete uncooked garbage.

I’ve had a lot of Chinese food in my life and this place is by far the worst I’ve had. NOTHING tastes authentic or like the typical Chinese flavors you expect out of the dishes. Beef in the beef and broccoli had a coating on it that was still raw and not thoroughly cooked through. The hot and sour soup was just strange. It tasted like it was doused in black pepper and nothing else. The chicken fries rice was not fried at all and the chicken was DEFINITELY off. I’m extremely disappointed and will not be returning. Just horrible.

Only wanted a qt. Of fried rice and a egg roll, told it would be 45min to an hour wait. Chinese in Genesee is the most disgusting food I've ever had. In Oakland county the Chinese food is awesome, what they are doing here is unacceptable, I will only eat Chinese food from Oakland county from now on, maybe cause they have to be excellent for the wealthy people there.
