About Lotus Pond

Lotus Pond is a Chinese restaurant located at 28747 Hoover Rd in Warren, Michigan. They can be contacted at (586) 751-4020 or via their mobile number +1 586-751-4020.

Customer reviews for Lotus Pond present a stark contrast in experiences. One reviewer described their meal as "the worst Chinese food I've ever had," detailing numerous issues such as watery lo mein sauce, overcooked and mushy noodles (not the expected lo mein noodles), rubbery shrimp, dry chicken and beef, chewy egg rolls, tasteless wonton soup with undercooked wontons, and undercooked crab rangoon with a "nasty taste." This reviewer felt the restaurant used substitutes for authentic ingredients and lacked cooking skills, also noting a missing item from their order and concluding it was a "waste of money."

Conversely, another customer reported a positive experience, stating that the chicken fried rice was "really good." They also observed the cashier providing excellent customer service to another unsure customer. This reviewer noted that there were several people waiting for food upon their arrival. While they found the lo mein to be not as good as another specific restaurant (Kam's), they still considered it "decent" and highlighted the "large portions," mentioning they were able to eat the leftovers for two and a half days. This reviewer stated they would visit Lotus Pond again.

Given these significantly different recent reviews, potential customers should be aware of the wide range of experiences reported. While one customer found aspects of the food and service to be satisfactory, another described a very poor meal quality across multiple dishes.

Leeky lo main! This is the worst Chinese food I've ever had! The lo main sauce was so thin there was a puddle of the sauce in the bags, the noodles weren't lo main noodles and over cooked mushy, the shrimp was rubbery the chicken dry the beef tough and dry,the egg rolls were chewy, the wonton soup if you could call it that was tasteless like hot water with under cooked wontons! The crab Rangoon was under cooked and had a nasty taste to it! Basically it seems like not only does this place use substitutes for the real thing but they can't cook, they also forgot to give me the extra egg rolls I ordered, but I wasn't going to eat them anyway! What a waste of money!

I went here and the chicken fried rice was really good. There was a gentleman in front of me who was not sure what he had gotten before. The cashier was really nice to him and tried to guess what he wanted by the description which I thought was really good customer service. There were several people waiting for food when I arrived. Lo mein is not as good as Kams but it is decent. Large portions. Ate on it for 2 and a half days. Will go here again.

Finding good Chinese food is hard! But I did it! So far I have only eaten one dish and that is the General Taos Chicken medium spice. The sauce is very good (sweet, spicy, not too thick or to thin), the chicken is fried well it could be just a bit more crispy but still very good, the eggroll is tasty, and the fried rice has a light smoky flavor. It was delicious! This is a takeout-only restaurant.

Fried rice is good. The chicken and meat are harder than rocks. They’re still scared of the coronavirus, which was proven to be faked and you can’t eat inside
