Long Time Ago

A Long Time Ago is a family-owned, delicious Chinese restaurant. Their crab rangoons are the best and they look like they actually have imitation crab. If you want a flavorful spicy dish to try go for the crispy spicy chicken or the orange beef dish. The inside is a cute mom and pop shop feel to it.

I walked in last minute to order take out and the lady was really nice to service. That’s the nicest feeling you could possibly have when you have Chinese food cravings then enter a restaurant by their closing time and most importantly, feel welcomed. As a Chinese I appreciate their consideration on choices of making adjustments to flavors and approve their food!

I placed a late online order. A very nice woman from the restaurant called me and let me know they had a large order they were working on. She apologized and said if I didn’t mind waiting they would still make my order, it would be about 40 minutes & she would call me when it was ready. I told her that was fine. Before my order was ready she even called and said she would be sending tea, free of charge, with our order. Despite the late hour, The food was piping hot, the portions were huge. and delicious as usual. The tea was also delicious!

If you haven’t had Eggplant in Garlic sauce you need to get here fast. I choose not to have a protein in it and I’m glad I did. I ate the entire container by the end of night. We got General Tao and Sweet and Sour Chicken (they didn’t have pork) and both were delicious.

As a loyal customer of Long Time Ago, we often dine at this restaurant. Today, for lunch, we decided to order the Hawaiian Barbecue Family Meal and a Combo Rice Noodle with Spicy Singapore Style Curry Sauce. The curry sauce had a bit of spice, but it was just right for my family and me. The lady at the counter was incredibly patient and helped us choose the three entrees for the barbecue family meal. She provided detailed descriptions of each dish. We ultimately selected the BBQ Chicken, Teriyaki Beef, and Crispy Shrimp. The portions were impressively large, even bigger than the regular portions, and we loved every single dish. The chicken and beef were not only flavorful but also juicy, and the shrimp was incredibly fresh. Another standout was the Combo Rice Noodle. The curry sauce added a unique flavor to the Rice Noodle , and I'm thankful to the lady for warning me about the spice level—I absolutely loved it. We thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes and couldn't wait to finish them, so much so that we forgot to take any pictures! Thank you, Long Time Ago, for another wonderful meal.
