About Lone Tree Drive In Chinese
Lone Tree Drive In Chinese is a Chinese Restaurant located at 8383 Lone Tree Wy in Brentwood, California. As a local dining establishment, it aims to serve the Brentwood community with a variety of Chinese dishes. However, customer reviews present a somewhat contrasting picture of the experience offered at this restaurant, making it important for potential diners to consider both positive and negative feedback.
According to one customer, Lone Tree Drive In Chinese has become their new favorite Chinese spot in Brentwood. This reviewer initially felt "a little suspicious" due to the quiet atmosphere upon arrival. However, their perception quickly changed as they found the place to be small, welcoming, and notably clean. They also appreciated the traditional and attractive decor. This positive experience was further enhanced by instant greeting upon being seated and remarkably fast food service. The reviewer found everything they tried to be "incredibly delicious" and the prices to be "very reasonably priced for the quality received." They also noted that it is a family-owned establishment and that while their dine-in business had been quiet since COVID-19, their takeout service was thriving. This customer expressed strong intentions to return for both dine-in and takeout, recommending others to visit and suggesting they would not be disappointed.
In stark contrast, another customer had an overwhelmingly negative experience at Lone Tree Drive In Chinese. This reviewer stated that the place was "TERRIBLE!!!" and would have given it zero stars if possible. Their primary complaint centered around the alleged rudeness of an "Asian lady that works there and sits at the front." They described the entire restaurant's energy as "super negative" and noted the absence of music, leading to a "dead silent" atmosphere. Furthermore, they were highly dissatisfied with the food quality, specifically mentioning that the Mongolian and Szechuan chicken they ordered were "chewy," causing jaw pain just from trying to eat. Ultimately, they left the chicken uneaten and attempted to eat the rest of their order. The reviewer expressed bewilderment at how the restaurant could remain in business with such "rude people running it."
Considering these two very different accounts, it is challenging to form a definitive picture of the environment at Lone Tree Drive In Chinese. One reviewer found it welcoming, clean, and traditionally decorated, while the other described a "super negative" and "dead silent" atmosphere. The discrepancy could be due to different times of visit, different experiences with staff, or varying personal preferences. The size of the restaurant is mentioned as "small" by the positive reviewer.
Similarly, the service experience seems to be inconsistent. One customer praised the instant greeting and fast service, while the other reported encountering a "rude" staff member who created a negative energy throughout the restaurant. This suggests that the quality of service might be variable or that different customers have had significantly different interactions with the staff.
A key feature highlighted by the positive review is the perceived authenticity and deliciousness of the food, along with its reasonable pricing relative to the quality. The fast service was also noted as a positive attribute. On the other hand, the negative review specifically criticized the chewiness of the chicken dishes, indicating a significant issue with food quality for that particular customer. The fact that it is a family-owned business is mentioned as a positive by one reviewer, potentially suggesting a more personal touch in the operation.
The quiet dine-in business post-COVID-19, contrasted with a booming takeout service, suggests a potential shift in their business model or customer preference. This might also explain the differing experiences if the focus has shifted towards fulfilling takeout orders, potentially impacting the dine-in atmosphere or service quality at certain times.
Currently, there is no information available regarding any specific promotional offers or discounts at Lone Tree Drive In Chinese based on these reviews. Checking online platforms or social media, if the restaurant has a presence, might also provide insights into any current offers.
In conclusion, Lone Tree Drive In Chinese in Brentwood presents a mixed bag of experiences for its customers. While one reviewer found it to be a new favorite, praising its cleanliness, welcoming atmosphere, traditional decor, fast service, delicious and reasonably priced food, and family-owned nature, another customer had a severely negative experience citing rude staff, a negative atmosphere, and poor food quality. Potential local users should be aware of these contrasting opinions. The restaurant seems to have a strong takeout business, while the dine-in experience might be less consistent. Those considering dining here may want to weigh these differing perspectives and potentially try it themselves to form their own opinion. For information on promotions, direct contact with the restaurant is recommended.

This is my new favorite Chinese place in Brentwood! I was a little suspicious at first. The place was deceptively quiet. When we walked in the place was small, welcoming and vwry very clean! Decor was traditional, well placed, and attractive. We sat down and were greeted instantly. The food came out lightning fast, and everything we tried was incredibly delicious. It was very reasonably priced for the quality we received. It is a family owned place, and their dine in business has been quiet after COVID-19, but their takeout is still booming. We will definitely be back for dine in and will also do some takeout. Come and visit you will not regret it.
WOW this place was TERRIBLE!!! If I could give this place 0 stars, I would as that is what it deserves. First off, the Asian lady that works there and sits at the front was so RUDE. The energy in in this whole restaurant was super negative! There was no music on in the restaurant, it was dead silent. The Mongolian and Schewan chicken we ordered were chewy, our jaws hurt from just trying to eat! We ended up leaving the chicken and trying to fill up with the rest of the food we ordered. I don’t understand how this place is in business with such rude people running it!
This small town mom and pop owned place is the best in town for clean non greasy Chinese food. Plus you can't beat their prices seriously... 2 lunch plates, 1 appetizer and two drinks came in under 30 bucks! This place is no frills but so good! Pictured is teriyaki chicken, kung pao chicken and crab rangoon with homemade sweet and sour sauce! Lemon chicken, egg foo young (seriously amazing), curry chicken, sweet n sour pork, orange chicken are all options we have tried and loved. Meat is good quality and not over cooked authentic sauces and taste. All around just a great place!
We had the most wonderful experience at this hidden gem! Christina (sp?) provided exceptional, friendly service that truly made our visit special. We’ve always thought this place was just a drive-up for takeout, but to our surprise, they have a cozy and charming little dining area inside. The food was absolutely delicious, and we were blown away by the portions! We ordered the family meal and had plenty of leftovers to enjoy the next day. Highly recommend if you're looking for great food and even better service.
Do not come here. Terrible service and food is okay. When we came in only one light was on it was dark. Ordered lunch special and food wasn’t worth taking pictures of. There other great Chinese restaurants around.
