About Lon U

Lon U is a restaurant located at 5005 Peachtree Pkwy #860, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092, USA. While listed under the Chinese Restaurant category, customer reviews indicate they also serve Thai cuisine. They can be contacted at (770) 441-0200 or +1 770-441-0200.

Customer reviews of Lon U in Peachtree Corners present a mixed experience. One reviewer found the spring rolls "delicious" but excessively greasy. Their spicy basil fried rice was initially sweet due to a forgotten chili addition, which, when corrected, made the dish very greasy. Despite a "sweet" waiter, this customer's overall food experience was not the best, and they reported stomach discomfort afterward, hoping for improvement for future guests.

Another reviewer who dined with a party of five on a Saturday (Christmas Eve) noted that the restaurant appeared "super understaffed," resulting in "super slow" service, though they acknowledged the holiday might have been a factor. They tried several dishes:

  • Tom Yam Soup ($6.20): Considered "good" but "spicy!" with a generous amount of tofu.
  • Spring Rolls ($4): Not recommended, deemed "not worth it."
  • Pineapple Chicken ($14): Rated "good!" with a "big portion!"
  • Black Pepper Beef ($17 + $2 for fried rice): Noted as having a smaller portion compared to other dishes and not as good as similar dishes elsewhere; the fried rice was also considered "not worth it" due to a lack of taste.
  • Sesame Chicken ($13.95): Found to be "good!" with a "big portion!"
  • Broccoli Mushroom with Tofu ($13.50) and Snow Peas with Tofu ($13.50): These vegetarian dishes were reportedly "really liked" by others in the party.

Overall, this reviewer noted that the portions were generally generous and concluded that while the food was "decent," it might not be worth going out of one's way to eat there.

Based on these reviews, Lon U in Peachtree Corners offers a combination of Chinese and Thai dishes with generally generous portions. However, there are concerns about the greasiness of some items like the spring rolls and spicy basil fried rice, and the Black Pepper Beef and fried rice were not well-received. Service can be slow, possibly due to staffing issues. Some dishes, like the Tom Yam Soup, Pineapple Chicken, and Sesame Chicken, as well as vegetarian options, have received positive feedback. The overall food quality appears to be decent but potentially inconsistent.

No information regarding the restaurant's specific environment beyond the fact that it has seating for a party of five, or any promotional offers, is available in the provided text.

The spring rolls was delicious but it was so greasy that you could see the grease on the plate even with me dabbing it on a paper towel there was still a lot of grease. So it just sucked that I had to do all that work. The spicy basil fried rise was very sweet because the cook had forgotten to add the chili so when the chili was added after it became very greasy. The waiter was sweet so it wasn’t a bad experience but the food wasn’t the best. I was the only person for the first 20 minutes so not sure what I could use as an excuse because them being busy can’t be used. Maybe it was just a bad day. Now my stomach hurts from all the grease. Hopefully they do better for future guest

We had a party of 5 for dinner on Saturday, 12/24/22. They were super understaffed. Service was super slow, but it was Christmas Eve, so maybe it was an anomaly. Here’s what I tried: - Tom Yam Soup ($6.20): Good, but spicy! Came with a generous amount of tofu. - Spring Rolls ($4): Not worth it, don’t recommend. - Pineapple Chicken ($14): Good! Big portion! - Black Pepper Beef ($17 + $2 for fried rice): Didn’t come with as much food as the other dishes. I’ve had way better black pepper steak at other restaurants. Wouldn’t recommend. The fried rice was also not worth it. Barely any taste. - Sesame Chicken ($13.95): Good! Big portion! Others in my party got Broccoli Mushroom with Tofu ($13.50) and Snow Peas with Tofu ($13.50) and really liked both! Overall, generous portions. I wouldn’t come out of my way to eat here, but the food was decent!

We had delivery which was awesome. However, my beef in my Mongolian beef was a little chewy. It normally is very tender. Otherwise, everything was very good.

Our standard go-to for Chinese food! Everything you would expect from a classic Chinese restaurant, plus a few Thai dishes. Our standard order typically consists of green curry (chicken), Mongolian beef, hot and sour soup, and a few other appetizers to round out the order. Our orders were always prepared quickly and presented before the estimated time. We will keep going back!

We have gotten food here before, but this was not a good experience. Brought in with family in town and my Mom’s “sweet & sour delight” was anything but delightful. Most of it was not edible (see photo). The rest was overcooked and the pad thai was pink with brown shrimp. Not sure what happened but we won’t be back.
