Based on online reviews, customer experiences are divided. One customer considers it the best Chinese food spot in the area, praising the great taste and reasonable prices. They also appreciated the restaurant's willingness to accommodate requests for dishes not listed on the menu.
However, another customer expressed significant disappointment with the food quality, describing it as tasteless, over-salted, over-sauced, and sometimes burnt, resulting in a sub-par dining experience. While acknowledging that the restaurant was clean and the staff was nice and fast with food preparation, this reviewer felt that the food was no different from other mediocre Chinese restaurants in the area. They suggested that those seeking well-cooked and tastier Asian-style food might prefer a local Thai restaurant at a similar price point.
Considering these contrasting opinions, it is advisable to weigh these experiences when deciding to dine at Lodi Chinatown Gourmet Kitchen.

This is the best Chinese food spot in the area. Food tastes great and the price is reasonable. Plus they’re willing to accommodate if what you want isn’t on the menu 👌🏾
I have tried a great deal of Chinese food restaurants in NJ and NY and I am very disappointed in the overall quality of them all. Chinatown Gourmet Kitchen is no different. The food is tasteless, over salted over sauced, burnt at times and overall a sub par dinning experience. That being said, the restaurant was clean and the staff was nice and very fast with the food prep. Overall it's no different than any other Chinese food restaurants in the area and I'm sure at this point everyones expectations are lowered. So if your in the mood for some greasy and poorly made Chinese food, pick your closest place and enjoy. It your in the mood for Asian style food that is actually cooked well and tastier I would find my local Thai restaurant and have a good meal at the same price point.
Do not order from this place. I found a bug cooked in my food. I called the store and the lady told me to bring in the plate ( I guess she didn't believe me). I drove back to show her so she wouldn't think I was lying. She opens the plate, looks at it and says "sorry," opens the cash register, hands me my money back and moves on to the next customer like nothing ever happened. Very rude. I will never go back to this disgusting place.
Mostly take out but they have several tables to eat in. Food was good. Excellent egg rolls. Great to grab a quick bite with plenty of left overs to take home. We will go back.
This is the better place in Lodi in my opinion, if that means anything to anyone. A generous amount of ingredients included in the house special fried rice. Some places, not so much
