About Little Saigon
Welcome to Little Saigon, a Vietnamese restaurant located at 2021 Windsor St in Salt Lake City, Utah. As a Vietnamese restaurant, Little Saigon offers a variety of Vietnamese dishes to the local community.
Based on recent customer feedback, experiences at Little Saigon appear to be mixed. One reviewer, accustomed to the Vietnamese cuisine of Westminster, CA (also known as Little Saigon), found the pho and banh mi at this Salt Lake City location to be less impressive. Specifically, the pho was described as "not that great" and the banh mi bread lacked crispiness.
Another notable aspect mentioned in the reviews is the restaurant's popularity and limited space. Customers have reported that the establishment can get very crowded, making it difficult to find a table, especially during busy times. The congestion was described by one reviewer as feeling like standing in a cafeteria line, potentially blocking access to tables. This suggests that the restaurant can be quite busy, and seating might be a challenge during peak hours.
In contrast, another customer found the Vietnamese food at Little Saigon to be "really good," with the exception of the pho, which was described as "ok." This reviewer particularly enjoyed the broth of the pho when it had a distinct taste. This suggests that while some dishes may be well-received, the quality of others, like the pho, might vary or not meet all expectations.
Overall, Little Saigon seems to be a popular Vietnamese eatery in Salt Lake City that can get crowded. While some customers have found the food to be delicious, others have expressed disappointment with specific dishes like the pho and banh mi. If you are considering dining at Little Saigon, be aware that seating may be limited during busy periods. I too don’t understand the rating of this place haha. The pho is not that great, I should have just went to the place I usually go to but wanted to try this place out. The bahn mi wasn’t even great either…the bread wasn’t even crispy. But maybe I’m expecting too much from Utah since I’m used to the pho and bahn mi at Westminster, CA (Little Saigon). The place gets so crowded too and when it does, it is hard to find a place to sit. We only noticed that because we got there before it got busy and while waiting for our food, more and more people were coming and the line got long to the door that it blocked access to tables…it was like standing in a cafeteria line or something. 😆 I felt relieved that we got there and found a table before it got busy but wanted to hurry and get out of there since it was getting crowded.
This Vietnamese place is really good; everything that I tried from here was so delicious; the pho was ok. I really enjoyed when the pho has that taste of the broth. The place is small and sometimes it is difficult to find a table.
First time in Utah and the first place I decided to eat at. Food came out quick and was pretty good. I got the spicy beef brisket sate pho and a Vietnamese coffee that tasted like chocolate. All in all, I have 0 complaints. Food was good.
I’ve recently move to Salt Lake City. Looking for Vietnamese foods to try out. Little Saigon has the highest rating so I figure out to check it out.. I ate Bun Bo Hue. The broth tasted like water and for the price. 5 pieces of meat on the bowl co sided when you purchase large size. The foods taste like it’s coming out of the boxes. They serve the foods to American people a that’s why the seasoning taste very bland. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone to come to eat here. The foods taste really bad. The bowl looks big for a large but there is not enough noodles or meat in the bowl.
