About Little Far East II

Little Far East II is a Chinese restaurant located at 26043 Ridge Rd in Damascus, Maryland, serving the local community with a menu of Chinese cuisine. As part of the Chinese Restaurant platform category, Little Far East II aims to provide a range of dishes for dine-in or takeout. However, recent customer reviews suggest a degree of inconsistency in the food quality, which potential local users should be aware of.

One customer shared a mixed experience, noting that the food quality seems to vary. On their recent visit, they reported significant issues with specific dishes. The spare ribs they ordered were described as "burned and soooo dry," deeming them unsuitable for sale. Additionally, the teriyaki chicken was reported to taste "bitter and like soy sauce," indicating a potential imbalance in flavor. On a more positive note, this reviewer mentioned that the fried rice was "very good as always," suggesting that some dishes might be more consistently prepared than others. This inconsistency could be a crucial factor for local users to consider when deciding whether to patronize Little Far East II.

Another customer expressed considerable dissatisfaction with their recent experience, stating that the restaurant "do not care about cooking good food or even decent food anymore." This is a strong indictment of the current standards at Little Far East II. This reviewer ordered the "S1 special" and reported that it "barely came with any meat," consisting primarily of "sauce, veggies and rice which was not even good." The overall sentiment was that there was "no love or soul in this place," leading to a direct recommendation to "Save your $12-$16 and go to the grocery store next door." This review paints a concerning picture of the value and quality of at least one of their special dishes.

Based on these two recent reviews, a significant feature of Little Far East II appears to be the inconsistency in its food quality. While one dish, the fried rice, received a positive mention in one review, other items like the spare ribs and teriyaki chicken were described as poorly prepared. Furthermore, another customer's experience with the S1 special suggests issues with the proportion of ingredients and the overall taste and quality of the dish. This lack of consistency could make it difficult for local users to predict the quality of their meal when ordering from Little Far East II.

The reviews do not provide any information about the environment or ambiance of the restaurant, as both customers specifically mentioned their food experiences without commenting on the dine-in setting. One customer opted for takeout, and the other did not specify their dining method but focused solely on the food quality. Therefore, local users seeking information about the restaurant's cleanliness, décor, or overall atmosphere will need to look for additional sources or potentially visit the location to assess it firsthand.

Similarly, the reviews do not offer any insights into the services provided by Little Far East II, beyond the preparation and delivery (in the case of takeout) of the food. There is no mention of the friendliness or efficiency of the staff, the speed of service, or any specific accommodations for diners. The focus of the feedback is primarily on the food itself.

Given the critical nature of the recent reviews regarding food quality and consistency, it is challenging to identify any clear positive features of Little Far East II based solely on this information. The one positive note about the fried rice in one review is overshadowed by the significant issues reported with other dishes. The strong negative sentiment expressed in the second review raises further concerns about the current standards of food preparation at this establishment.

The provided information does not include any details about promotional offers or special deals that Little Far East II might be running. Local users interested in such information would need to contact the restaurant directly using the phone number provided, (301) 253-8600, or the mobile phone number, +1 301-253-8600, to inquire about any current promotions.

In conclusion, based on the limited recent customer reviews available, Little Far East II in Damascus, MD, appears to be facing challenges with maintaining consistent food quality. While one customer found the fried rice to be good, they also reported poorly prepared spare ribs and teriyaki chicken. Another customer expressed significant dissatisfaction with the S1 special and the overall culinary standards. Local users considering Little Far East II should be aware of these recent experiences and might want to seek more up-to-date reviews or potentially try less complex dishes if they decide to order from this establishment. The lack of information regarding the environment and services makes it difficult to provide a comprehensive introduction beyond the critical feedback on the food.

Food is hit or miss as to how good it is. Tonight the spare ribs were burned and soooo dry. Should not have been sold. The teriyaki chicken tasted bitter and like soy sauce. Fried rice was very good as always.

They do not care about cooking good food or even decent food anymore. Got the S1 special and it barely came with any meat. Just sauce, veggies and rice which was not even good. No love or soul in this place. Save your $12-$16 and go to the grocery store next door.

The meal fell short of what I was hoping for. Sadly, it was underwhelming — the flavors were bland, and the texture left much to be desired. I anticipated something of higher quality. It felt like money poorly spent.

Came here because Tasty 68 was closed for renovations, a little hesitant from the 1 star reviews, but we were really pleasantly surprised! The food was excellent. Maybe even better than Tasty 68? We ordered the sha cha steak, shredded pork, and Mongolian lamb. Everything was cooked perfectly with crisp juicy veggies and tender meats. It’s very much a Chinese American restaurant, but there were more than the usual basics on the menu and the people working there are Chinese. Service was also prompt and great. We put in our orders, got waters and tea, refills, food, and the bill all quickly when asked. We’ll be back for sure!
