About Little Chopstix

Little Chopstix, located at 580 Woodbury Dr #200, St Paul, MN 55125, operates within the Chinese Restaurant category, serving the local community with its Chinese culinary offerings. Accessible via phone at (651) 797-4133 or mobile at +1 651-797-4133, this establishment aims to provide convenient and affordable Chinese food options for residents and visitors in the St. Paul area. As a Chinese restaurant, Little Chopstix typically offers a menu featuring a range of popular dishes designed for quick service and accessibility.

The services provided by Little Chopstix primarily focus on takeout and potentially limited dine-in options, common for establishments that prioritize efficiency and affordability. Customers can expect to place their orders at a counter and either take their food to go or consume it in a casual dining area, if available. The restaurant's service model is geared towards providing a relatively quick turnaround for orders, catering to those seeking a fast meal. The mention of "dinner combos" suggests that they offer pre-set meal options, which are convenient for customers looking for a complete meal at a fixed price. The ability to purchase drinks alongside food also indicates a comprehensive, though often simplified, beverage service.

Regarding the environment of Little Chopstix, the provided customer reviews do not offer explicit details about the interior decor, seating arrangements, or overall ambiance. As is typical for many Chinese restaurants, particularly those with a focus on affordability and efficiency, the environment is likely functional rather than elaborate, designed to facilitate quick order processing and comfortable, albeit perhaps basic, dining. Cleanliness is a standard expectation, though no specific comments regarding the tidiness or presentation of the space were provided in the given feedback. The focus on "dinner combos" and the overall price point suggest a casual dining setting, where the emphasis is more on the food itself and its value rather than on an intricate dining atmosphere.

The features of Little Chopstix's food offerings, as indicated by customer reviews, present a mixed bag of experiences. Patrons can expect to find standard Chinese fare. For instance, one customer noted that "The rice and broccoli was good," suggesting that certain side dishes are prepared satisfactorily. However, other items received less favorable reviews. The "chicken was okay" and "the cheese wontons were very dry. They unfortunately had almost no filling and tasted old." This indicates inconsistency in food quality, particularly concerning the freshness and preparation of appetizers. A more severe critique came for the "wonton soup," described as "nasty" with "a TON of wrapping" and "absolutely no filling." This highlights significant issues with the quality and value of specific menu items, leading to strong dissatisfaction. The soup being "definitely a 0/10" and "not worth my $7" underscores a clear disappointment in both taste and perceived value.

On the positive side, despite some culinary shortcomings, customers generally agree that "You do get a decent amount of food for the price," indicating that portion sizes are generous for the cost. This aspect of value for money is a notable feature, especially for budget-conscious diners. Furthermore, one review states, "I would come here over panda," implying that, for some customers, Little Chopstix offers a preferable alternative to larger fast-casual Chinese chains, possibly due to portion size or other specific preferences, despite the noted inconsistencies in taste and quality of certain dishes.

Therefore, the key features of Little Chopstix's cuisine appear to be its affordability and generous portion sizes, balanced against potential inconsistencies in the taste, freshness, and preparation of individual items. While some dishes may be satisfying, others might fall short of customer expectations regarding flavor and quality. This mixed feedback suggests that the dining experience can be variable, depending on the specific dishes ordered.

Regarding promotional information, no explicit details about current promotions or special offers for Little Chopstix were provided in the customer reviews. However, Chinese restaurants, especially those focusing on affordability and quick service, frequently employ various promotional strategies to attract and retain customers. These can include:

  • Daily Specials: Featuring a rotating selection of dishes at a discounted price to encourage variety and repeat visits.
  • Family Meal Deals: Bundling multiple entrees and sides for a set price, catering to larger groups.

Additionally, checking for any local advertisements or online listings where the restaurant might announce specials would be beneficial.

In conclusion, Little Chopstix at 580 Woodbury Dr #200, St Paul, MN 55125, functions as a Chinese restaurant providing affordable and generously portioned meals, primarily through takeout or casual dine-in services. While it offers good value in terms of quantity and some dishes like rice and broccoli are well-received, consistency in the quality and freshness of other items, such as chicken and wontons, appears to be an area of concern, as indicated by customer feedback. Despite these inconsistencies, some customers prefer it over other fast-casual chains. Prospective diners should manage their expectations regarding consistent culinary excellence across all menu items, but can likely expect a substantial meal for their money at Little Chopstix.

I was excited to try this place out. Got two dinner combos, and two drinks. Came out to be just under $30 for two people. The rice and broccoli was good. But the chicken was okay and the cheese wontons were very dry. They unfortunately had almost no filling and tasted old. You do get a decent amount of food for the price, and I would come here over panda.

My first and last time here for this place. Decided to grab wonton soup for lunch and let me just say it was nasty. On top of that, this was all the filling that was in there while there was a TON of wrapping. The wonton soup is definitely a 0/10 for me and definitely not worth my $7!!

Nice place for dinner. All of the food was fresh and hot. The sesame chicken was amazing. I ate too much but don't regret it.

I got the sesame chicken lunch special. It was $10 and was two full meals! So much food. And it was so delicious. It was ready very quickly. There's only a few seats in the place but it was perfect for a quick lunch.

Food is never consistent used to order 2-3 times a week bc of convenience for my elderly mom. But the food was terrible the last couple times and they wouldn’t do anything about it. So we threw away $45 of food from one order and we always tip very well both being in the industry. Will not return.
