About Little China Restaurant

For local users in Fayetteville, North Carolina, seeking a Chinese restaurant, Little China Restaurant, situated at 3837 Ramsey St, presents a range of experiences as indicated by recent customer reviews. As a part of the Chinese Restaurant category, Little China offers both takeout and potentially dine-in services, though opinions on various aspects of the establishment appear to be mixed, warranting a detailed and objective overview for prospective customers.

One customer expressed extreme dissatisfaction with their meal, labeling it the "Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had." This reviewer was particularly critical of the General Tso’s Chicken, describing it as being "basically all breading" with only a fraction of the pieces containing chicken. The accompanying egg roll was also negatively reviewed for having a "squishy yuk inside." This overwhelmingly negative experience led the reviewer to strongly recommend against patronizing Little China Restaurant, despite acknowledging the positive service of their delivery driver.

In contrast, another reviewer holds a significantly more favorable opinion, stating that Little China Restaurant is their "favorite Chinese food in Fayetteville so far." This customer frequently expresses being "impressed with how fresh the food is." Their usual choices include the house lomein and General Tso's chicken, but they also mentioned enjoying the beef and broccoli and shrimp with lobster sauce. This positive feedback highlights the potential for a satisfying dining experience, particularly concerning the freshness of the ingredients and the taste of certain dishes.

Regarding portion sizes, one reviewer noted a slight imbalance, wishing for "more rice for the tso's," while also mentioning that "the lomein is a big serving." This suggests that portion sizes may vary between different dishes, with the lomein being more generous in comparison to the rice served with the General Tso's chicken. This is useful information for customers planning their orders based on their appetite for specific items.

The ambiance of the dine-in area received a neutral assessment from one reviewer, who described it as "not bad, but not the best." They suggested that the interior "could use refreshing" but acknowledged the financial constraints of such renovations, especially in the current economic climate. This indicates that while the environment might be acceptable for dining in, it may not be a standout feature of the restaurant. Customers prioritizing a modern or particularly appealing atmosphere might want to consider this feedback.

In terms of service, one recurring observation is that a customer "always has to ask for hot mustard." This minor detail suggests that hot mustard might not be automatically included with orders and that customers who prefer it should remember to request it specifically. This can help ensure a more complete and enjoyable meal for those who appreciate this condiment.

Finally, one commenter expressed sadness upon reading about negative experiences and voiced a belief in "redemption" and hope for the establishment's improvement, wishing for future 5-star ratings from all customers. This comment reflects a sense of community and a desire to see local businesses succeed, while also acknowledging the validity of the negative feedback received by others.

In conclusion, Little China Restaurant in Fayetteville, NC, appears to be an establishment with a somewhat inconsistent customer experience. While one reviewer found it to be their favorite in the area, praising the freshness of the food, another had a very negative experience with the quality of specific dishes. Feedback on portion sizes suggests variability, and the ambiance is described as adequate but not exceptional. Service-related comments include the need to specifically request hot mustard. Potential local users should weigh these contrasting experiences when deciding whether to patronize Little China Restaurant. Contacting the restaurant directly for menu details, hours, and any current promotions is recommended to make a more informed decision.

Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot. General Tso’s Chicken is basically all breading, only half the pieces has some form of chicken inside. Even the accompanying egg roll had squishy yuk inside. At least my Dasher was pretty good. I don’t recommend this restaurant for anyone!

This is my favorite Chinese food in Fayetteville so far. I am often impressed with how fresh the food is. The house lomein and general tso's chicken are our usual choices, but we have gotten beef and broccoli, and shrimp with lobster sauce... We always wish we had more rice for the tso's , but the lomein is a big serving... The ambiance inside is not bad, but not the best. Could use refreshing, but I know that is expensive and in this economy... I always have to ask for hot mustard. I am sad to read about poor experiences... I believe in redemption 🙏 and I hope that this establishment is on the up and up and that everyone will be able to give them a 5 star rating in the future!
