About Little China

Little China is a Chinese restaurant located at 1018 York St NE in Aiken, South Carolina, 29801, USA. Serving the local community, Little China offers a range of Chinese cuisine options. They can be contacted at (803) 649-2878 or their mobile number, +1 803-649-2878, for inquiries or to place orders.

Based on recent customer feedback available online, experiences at Little China appear to be mixed. One customer recounted a negative experience during a lunch break. This customer ordered a small chicken fried rice and two egg rolls for takeout. Upon trying the egg roll and finding it not to their liking, they returned to the restaurant and received a refund of $4 from a woman behind the counter. However, after also finding the chicken fried rice unsatisfactory and requesting a refund for it, another employee who had been eating in the restaurant reportedly stood up and loudly stated that there were no refunds or exchanges due to COVID-19. The customer expressed disappointment at this outcome, feeling they were out of pocket for food they did not enjoy.

Another review provided a more nuanced perspective, initially stating that "the food is great!" However, this review also noted that "the atmosphere could feel a little more customer friendly." It mentioned that one woman working at the front was kind, while another gave off a negative impression. The reviewer also made an observation about the potential language barrier, suggesting that Google Translate might be useful for clarification. This same reviewer later edited their feedback, initially increasing the star rating due to the kindness of one employee. However, this positive sentiment was short-lived, as they subsequently reported a negative physical reaction after eating the food, leading to a strong disinclination to return.

As a Chinese restaurant in Aiken, SC, Little China likely offers a menu consisting of popular Chinese-American dishes. Based on the limited information in the reviews, their offerings include at least chicken fried rice and egg rolls. The positive initial comment about the food being "great" suggests that some customers have found their dishes to be satisfactory in terms of taste. However, the subsequent negative experiences related to food quality and customer service raise concerns that potential customers should be aware of.

The mention of varying customer service experiences, with one employee described as kind and another as unwelcoming, indicates a potential inconsistency in the front-of-house service. This could impact the overall dining or takeout experience for customers. The reported incident regarding the refund policy, particularly the stated reason related to COVID-19, is also noteworthy and might be something for potential customers to consider, especially if they are trying new dishes for the first time.

Given the limited and somewhat contradictory nature of the available reviews, it is difficult to form a comprehensive picture of the overall environment and typical service at Little China. The discrepancy in experiences suggests that individual visits may vary significantly. There is no promotional information available in the provided text.

For local users in Aiken, SC, considering Little China, the existing feedback presents a mixed bag. While one reviewer initially praised the food, significant issues were raised regarding customer service, refund policies, and subsequent food quality. The other reviewer had a negative experience with both the food and the handling of a refund request. These accounts suggest that while Little China may offer some satisfactory dishes, there are potential risks related to consistency and customer service that prospective patrons should be mindful of.

Without further information or more consistently positive reviews, it is challenging to definitively recommend Little China. Local residents might want to weigh the reported positive comment about the food against the more detailed negative experiences concerning service and food quality. If considering ordering from Little China, it might be prudent to inquire about their current policies on refunds or exchanges, especially for new customers or dishes being tried for the first time.

In conclusion, Little China in Aiken, SC, is a Chinese restaurant that has received mixed reviews online. While one customer initially found the food great, subsequent experiences and another customer's encounter highlight potential issues with food quality, customer service, and refund policies. Local users may want to approach this restaurant with caution and consider these recent experiences when making their dining choices.

On my lunch break, I simply walked into Little China and minded you. I've never been there before. Thought I would try a small chicken fried rice and 2 egg rolls. I stepped outside and took a bite of the egg roll, and it was not for my taste. So I walked back in and explained that I didn't like it and my $4 was returned by the lady in the behind the counter. There was another employee sitting down eating, this employee eating seen when I got my refund for the egg rolls. I tried the chicken fried rice and didn't like it either. I asked for my money back for that, and the employee eating stood up and yelled loudly that there was no refund or exchanges due to covid -19. I thought that I could get some type of compensation. Now I'm out out of a hot $6 that I could've used somewhere else. All I can say is TRASH TRASH!!!!!

The food is great! The atmosphere could feel a little more customer friendly. One woman up front is kind while the other puts out dagger-eyes. Google translate is good for curiousity. Edit: gave this a better stars about 30 minutes ago because the kind lady was their saving grace BUT never had a need for a bathroom hit me this fast...have fun if you eat here! Haven't been in months and will not go back!

The food looked and tasted undercooked and the chicken was soggy. After only eating a little portion I was feeling nauseous and began puking. I believe it made me sick and for they prices they should do much better.

Dirty restaraunt, HORRIBLE service, gloves not used, RUDE employees. My chicken was over cooked hard and rubbery, chicken wings were INSANELY small, shrimp toast was BURNT and ROCK HARD, and when we told them it was burnt, the man and lady both rudely yelled at us about it and sent us away.
