About Little China

Welcome to Little China, a Chinese restaurant situated at 439 Columbia Ave in Lexington, South Carolina. As a local establishment in the Chinese Restaurant category, Little China offers the convenience of both takeout and dine-in options for residents and visitors in the Lexington area. While specific details about the restaurant's environment, comprehensive services, features, and promotional information are limited in the provided data, we can compile an introduction based on the available customer reviews to offer an objective perspective.

Based on the limited customer feedback, experiences at Little China appear to vary. One customer reported a negative experience with a takeout order. They mentioned that the stuffed wontons were excessively dried out to the point where the cheese had hardened. Furthermore, they described their combo plates as tasting like "old oil" and found the meal to be inedible, expressing that this poor quality prompted them to break their usual practice of not rating and critiquing restaurants.

In contrast, another customer shared a more positive view of Little China. They described the location as "friendly" and specifically praised one of the staff members who was running the counter during lunch. This reviewer considered Little China a "staple place to eat in town," characterizing it as "low key and peaceful," making it a suitable spot for taking colleagues from work. They also noted that while the menu might not have an extensive number of items, there were "enough to be tasty and get your fill."

Considering these two reviews, it's evident that customer experiences at Little China can differ significantly. One review highlights issues with food quality, specifically mentioning the dryness of the stuffed wontons and the taste of old oil in the combo plates, leading to an overall inedible experience. This suggests potential inconsistencies in food preparation or ingredient quality at the time of this particular order.

On the other hand, the second review focuses on the positive aspects of the location's atmosphere and service. The "friendly location" and the commendable staff member at the counter during lunch suggest a welcoming environment and good customer service. The description of the restaurant as "low key and peaceful" indicates a potentially relaxed and comfortable setting for diners. The reviewer also found the menu, despite not being extensive, to offer enough tasty options to be satisfying.

Given the limited and contrasting nature of these reviews, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive overview of Little China's environment, services, and features. The information does not offer insights into the restaurant's decor, seating arrangements, or other amenities for dine-in customers. Similarly, details about the full range of services, such as delivery options or catering, are not available. Promotional information, if any, is also not included in the provided text.

However, we can infer that Little China offers takeout services, as mentioned by the customer who had a negative experience with their order. The second review indicates that dine-in is also an option, given the mention of it being a "staple place to eat in town" and suitable for taking work colleagues. The friendly staff member mentioned suggests a focus on customer interaction, at least at the counter during lunch hours.

The feature of a "not a ton of items to choose from for food" suggests a potentially smaller, more focused menu. While one reviewer found the options sufficient and tasty, this might be a consideration for customers seeking a very wide variety of dishes.

In conclusion, Little China is a Chinese restaurant located in Lexington, SC, offering both takeout and dine-in services. Customer reviews present a mixed picture, with one highlighting significant issues with food quality and another praising the friendly service and peaceful atmosphere, while noting a limited but satisfactory menu. Local users considering Little China may want to take these varying experiences into account. We ordered take out from the menu. The stuffed wontons were so dried out the cheese was hard. Our combo plates tasted like old oil. I don't normally rate and critique restaurants, but this was inedible.

Friendly location and got one of the best guys on staff at lunch running the counter. Staple place to eat in town and low key and peaceful to take guys from work. There are not a ton of items to choose from for food, but enough to be tasty and get your fill.

An inexpensive buffet with ice cream, but they didn't have much of a selection, though still decent. The booths are not screwed down, so if you sit down, they just lift, and you're sesawing all over the place by yourself. The buffet allows an endless coke fountain for drink offers, including sweet and unsweet tea. They went from plastic to styrofoam plates, presumably due to covid and never switched back. They also have very weak plastic utensils, hard to even jab into their foods they offered. Leaking toilet in men's bathroom. Very large atmosphere and plenty of seating, with great decor. They even have TVs for you to watch.

Purchased the buffet to go. Lady at the counter doesn't greet you, not very welcoming. Food was okay. Most of it seemed to have been sitting for a while and was not fresh. Asked if I could put my dessert in a small container so that it would not be on the plate with my food. Was told no it has to go on your plate. Probably won't return.

I get the large teriyaki chicken with crab ragoon. It's got good texture, flavor, isn't too greasy, and it doesn't have any gristle -- they trim it well. It's kind of like bourbon chicken you would get elsewhere but better. The crab ragoon are standard nothing special but good.
