Customer reviews offer valuable perspectives on the experience at Little Asia Restaurant. One long-term customer, who had been visiting for years and previously wrote a five-star review over five years ago, recently returned and noted that the food remains consistently good and fresh, with some dishes being particularly outstanding. This reviewer, an ex-New Yorker with extensive experience eating Chinese food, specifically praised their hot and sour soup and crab rangoon as being the best they have ever tasted, highlighting interesting variations of both. Their personal favorite dish is the Orange Chicken, and they mentioned having enjoyed a variety of other dishes, appetizers, and soups, consistently finding them delicious and plentiful.

Regarding service, the same reviewer described it as "strange." While they primarily dine in and typically receive their food promptly despite initial warnings of potential delays, they observed that takeout orders seem to experience significant delays. Interestingly, despite being a repeat customer with approximately 60 visits over the past five years, they are consistently greeted as if it were their first visit, with no recognition from the staff. Despite this lack of personal recognition, the reviewer still awarded Little Asia Restaurant a 5-star rating based on the consistently high quality of their food.

Another customer also commented on the food being delicious, specifically mentioning the orange chicken and sweet and sour shrimp (although the shrimp order was mistakenly served as chicken). This reviewer noted a longer than typical wait time for their food. While their daughter received the wrong order, the dish was reportedly well-made, and they were willing to return despite the error and the wait, indicating a positive impression of the food quality.

Based on these reviews, Little Asia Restaurant appears to be primarily known for the quality and taste of its food. Standout dishes mentioned include the hot and sour soup, crab rangoon, and orange chicken, with one reviewer suggesting these are exceptional. The food is described as consistently good, fresh, and plentiful.

Regarding the environment of Little Asia Restaurant, one reviewer mentioned that the building is "nothing special to look at." This suggests that the focus of the restaurant might be more on the food itself rather than an elaborate or particularly noteworthy ambiance. However, it does not necessarily imply a negative environment, just one that is not particularly remarkable in terms of decor or building aesthetics. Local customers who prioritize food quality over elaborate surroundings might find this acceptable.

In terms of services, Little Asia Restaurant primarily offers dine-in service, which seems to be generally efficient in terms of food delivery to the table, despite occasional warnings of potential delays. They also offer takeout service, although at least one customer experienced or observed significant delays with takeout orders. It is not mentioned whether Little Asia Restaurant offers delivery services. For local users interested in takeout or delivery, it would be advisable to inquire directly with the restaurant about the availability and typical wait times for these options.

Features of Little Asia Restaurant, based on the customer reviews, seem to include:

  • High-Quality Food: Consistently praised for its good taste and freshness, with some dishes considered exceptional.
  • Standout Dishes: Notably the hot and sour soup, crab rangoon, and orange chicken.
  • Generous Portions: One reviewer described the portions as plentiful.
  • Potential for Customization: While not explicitly mentioned, Chinese restaurants often allow for some level of customization in dishes (e.g., spice level), which could be a feature at Little Asia.

The "strange" service described by one reviewer, characterized by a lack of recognition of repeat customers but generally prompt food delivery for dine-in orders, is a unique aspect of their service style. The longer than typical wait times mentioned by another reviewer, along with the order mistake, suggest that service can be somewhat inconsistent or may experience occasional issues, particularly during busy periods.

Promotional information is not provided in the given text. Chinese restaurants sometimes offer lunch specials, combination deals, or discounts on certain days or for specific order amounts. To find out if Little Asia Restaurant is currently running any promotions, local users are encouraged to check their website (if available), their social media pages (if active), or contact them directly by phone.

In conclusion, Little Asia Restaurant in Warrenton, MO, appears to be a local Chinese restaurant that is highly regarded for the quality and taste of its food, particularly their hot and sour soup, crab rangoon, and orange chicken. While the building itself may not be visually remarkable, the focus seems to be on providing delicious and fresh Chinese cuisine. Dine-in service is generally efficient, although takeout orders may experience delays. The service style includes a peculiar lack of recognition for repeat customers. For local users prioritizing food quality and unique takes on classic dishes, Little Asia Restaurant seems to be a worthwhile option. To inquire about takeout or delivery services and any current promotions, please contact them directly at (636) 456-7990 or +1 636-456-7990 or visit their location at 916 Old Steinhagen Rd, Warrenton, MO 63383, USA.

This is the second review of Little Asia I am writing, having written a five star one over 5 yrs. ago. My late wife and I went once a month for years, but it had been a much longer time since I'd been there and decided to go again recently. I can say that very little has changed. Their food is always good and fresh with some dishes outstanding. I have probably tried a dozen or so different dishes and many of their appetizers and soups, always finding them delicious and plentiful. As an ex-New Yorker always eating Chinese food I can say their hot and sour soup and Crab Rangoon are the best I've ever tasted with some interesting takes on both. My personal favorite is the Orange Chicken. As to service, they are a strange restaurant. I usually dine in, but take out appears to be a situation which can take an awfully long time. There are usually warnings when I come in that service will take a long time, but then I get my food right away. Strangely, I am greeted at the door as if I were there for the first time ever with no sign of recognition that I am have been there before when I've probably made 60 visits over the past 5 years. Since I don't eat recognition I still have to give Little Asia 5 stars on the basis of their wonderful food.

Nothing special to look at in the building. Our food was delicious. We ordered orange chicken and sweet and sour shrimp which came out as chicken. The wait was longer than typical it seemed like. My daughter was brought chicken instead of shrimp but we didn’t have time to wait for it to be fixed. The dish was well made so she wasn’t too sad. Even with the wait and the mistake it was so good we will definitely go again.

Awesome service and great food. Don’t let the smaller location be the deciding factor. This restaurant has a great menu selection with fast service

This is going to be the worst 5 star review ever. And the longest. The good: though the menu has many items you can find in any chinese restaurant, it is not just another "by the book" formula restaurant. Someone there is really, truly cooking, not just reheating items on an assembly line. My wife goes berserk over the Pho. And the hot & sour soup is quite wonderful. The bad: One complaint I have is that they use un-cured meats for their fried rice with meat. If I order pork fried rice I want my pork to be red, not gray. Every other oriental restaurant I've ever been to uses cured pork in their PFR. I do NOT believe it is unhealthy to consume a rational amount of cured meats in a balanced diet. The next bit is because I like more heat than most people. OK, nearly all people. First time I went there (about 3 years ago) I ordered General Tso's chicken extra hot. It was without a doubt the best GTC I've had in my life - not just for the perfect heat but the quality of the chicken was far beyond what most oriental restaurants deliver. Next couple of times, pretty similar. One time (and ONLY the one time) it was actually TOO HOT for me, which is nearly impossible! No, I did not complain, because I'd rather have it be too hot than not hot enough. But sometime along the way, it's like they just stopped making it hot no matter how much I begged. I do not understand why they refuse to make it the way I want it. Once they said if it's too hot people return it. I PROMISED them I would never, ever do that. And I always over-tip, 20-25%, in the hopes they will remember me and finally make it the way I ask. Yes, I can sprinkle cayenne on it at home, but it's NOT THE SAME as a properly cooked spicy sauce penetrating the meat. It eventually became so irritating I stopped going nearly as often. But a couple of nights ago I gave them another chance, begged as usual for extra extra maximum possible heat, and sure enough it was NOT HOT. It is maddening. I may be done with them. It's so simple to please a customer that makes it clear what they want. But they just refuse. So they've earned the 5 stars but still managed to lose my business. What a waste. The ugly: Yeah, they are often way behind. For the people whining about the long wait for take-out, keep in mind how small this place is. And they are up-front about how long it will take.. Unless they move to somewhere with a bigger kitchen it's can't change. They are normally running at maximum capacity. Plan ahead and order earlier if you're in a hurry.

The food was excellent and the staff were very kind. Love supporting family owned businesses. My husband said it was the best Asian cuisine he’s had and the crab rangoon is the bomb.
