About Lins Kitchen

Welcome to Lin's Kitchen, a Chinese restaurant located at 111 SW Eagles Pkwy in Grain Valley, Missouri. As a local establishment in the Chinese Restaurant category, Lin's Kitchen offers a variety of Chinese dishes with options for both takeout and inside seating. While customer experiences appear to be somewhat varied, certain aspects of their offerings have been highlighted in online reviews, providing potential local users with insights into what to expect.

According to a review from August 2022, Lin's Kitchen was known for serving "good food and nice size portions" at that time. A standout item mentioned in this review was their "delicious" Crab Rangoon. The restaurant also offered convenient ordering options, allowing customers to place orders online or by phone. For those preferring to dine at the restaurant, inside seating was available. It was also noted that direct delivery was not offered by Lin's Kitchen, and the average wait time for food pickup was around 15 minutes.

However, a more recent review from April 2025 indicates a potential shift in the customer experience, with the reviewer expressing disappointment over their "last couple of orders." The primary concern raised was a perceived reduction in portion sizes, leading this customer to seek alternatives elsewhere. This recent feedback suggests that there may have been changes in the restaurant's offerings or practices that local users should be aware of.

Another customer, who was trying Lin's Kitchen for the first time in search of a "good Chinese food" option, provided a mixed review of their experience. While they found some dishes to be acceptable, others did not meet their expectations. Their husband's experience with the hot and sour soup was lukewarm, requiring the addition of soy sauce to enhance its flavor. The sweet and sour chicken was described as a "disappointment," lacking typical accompanying ingredients such as pineapple, ginger, or peppers, and having the sauce served on the side with just the chicken.

The same reviewer's experience with other dishes was also varied. The broccoli in brown sauce was noted as having "very little flavor," although the addition of carrots was appreciated. On a more positive note, the pan-fried dumplings were described as "quite good," and their husband enjoyed the egg rolls. Interestingly, despite observing "eight cases of fortune cookies," they did not receive any with their order. This might be an oversight or a change in their standard practice for takeout or dine-in customers.

The reviewer also observed that Lin's Kitchen appeared to have a significant "take out business," suggesting that this might be a popular service option for local residents. Despite this, their own experience did not solidify Lin's Kitchen as their "go-to Chinese restaurant," indicating that while some aspects were satisfactory, others left room for improvement.

Based on the available reviews, Lin's Kitchen offers both takeout and inside seating options for local users in Grain Valley, MO. Customers can place orders by phone at (816) 443-2770 or +1 816-443-2770, and online ordering was mentioned as an available option in a past review, though its current status is not specified in the more recent feedback. The address for Lin's Kitchen is 111 SW Eagles Pkwy, Grain Valley, MO 64029, USA, making it accessible to residents in the area.

In terms of features, Lin's Kitchen was previously known for good food and nice portion sizes, with their Crab Rangoon being a standout item. The pan-fried dumplings and egg rolls also received positive mentions in a more recent review. However, potential customers should be aware of the recent feedback regarding possible reductions in portion sizes and inconsistencies in the preparation and flavor of certain dishes, such as the hot and sour soup and sweet and sour chicken.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available in the provided reviews. Local users interested in any special offers or current promotions are advised to contact Lin's Kitchen directly. While delivery is not offered directly by the restaurant, customers may potentially utilize third-party delivery services, although this is not explicitly mentioned in the provided text.

In conclusion, Lin's Kitchen in Grain Valley, MO, offers a range of Chinese dishes for takeout and dine-in. While past reviews praised their food and portion sizes, more recent feedback suggests potential inconsistencies in these areas. Dishes like Crab Rangoon and pan-fried dumplings have received positive mentions, but other items, such as the hot and sour soup and sweet and sour chicken, have been less favorably reviewed. Local users may find it beneficial to consider these recent experiences when deciding to try Lin's Kitchen and perhaps inquire about current portion sizes and preparation methods when placing an order. Contacting the restaurant directly at the provided phone number can offer the most up-to-date information on their menu, services, and any ongoing promotions.

April 2025: We have been a little disappointed our last couple of orders. It seems like they have reduced their portion sizes. We have been going elsewhere. August 2022: Good food and nice size portions. Their Crab Rangoon are delicious! You can order on line or by phone. Take out or inside seating is available. No masks required. Delivery is not available directly from them. The wait time varies but we have averaged around 15 minutes before food is ready for pickup.

We are looking for good Chinese food and thought we would try the local place. The food was ok. My husband had the hot and sour soup and said it was once he added soy sauce. Also said the sweet and sour chicken was a disappointment. The sauce was on the side and no pineapple, ginger or peppers; just chicken. I had broccoli in brown sauce. Very little flavor, the carrots were a nice addition though. I also had the pan fried dumplings, they were quite good. My husband did like the egg rolls. We saw eight cases of fortune cookies and didn’t get one. They seem to do a big take out business. We will keep looking for our go-to Chinese restaurant.

Overall do not recommend. I got the ma la shrimp which just tasted like shrimp w broccoli and was swimming in sauce. Hubby got the orange chicken and it was bland. My son got sweet n sour chicken which was fine. The crab Rangoon was good. Spring rolls we boring too soggy inside. We also got a small veggie lo mein that needed soy sauce and the noodles were wrong very thin like angel hair pasta. We spent $45 for all of it.

Great place for fast prepared takeout, I’m a big fan of the Beef & Broccoli the beef is prepared very well and is always tender! Haven’t had a chance to Dine In but it seems like they are more takeout oriented anyways. Definitely recommend!
