Welcome to Ling Ling Chinese Restaurant, located at 2062 Lycoming Creek Rd Ste E, Williamsport, PA 17701, USA. Based on recent customer reviews, here is an objective overview of what you might expect from Ling Ling Chinese Restaurant:

Service and Ordering Experience:

One customer's first experience with Ling Ling was positive, noting that it is a "take out only" establishment. They reported a short waiting time of just 10 minutes for their order, which included a sesame chicken combo, fried dumplings, and spicy Mala style chicken. This suggests that Ling Ling can be efficient in preparing takeout orders. The same reviewer also described the service as "excellent" and "very friendly," indicating a positive interaction with the staff during the ordering and pickup process.

However, another customer had a significantly negative experience specifically related to delivery service. They reported waiting over 30 minutes for their food, despite living only 5 minutes away from the restaurant. Upon arrival, the food was described as "cold," which was a major disappointment. When they contacted the restaurant to address this issue, they were reportedly met with a defensive response, being told that the food was freshly made. The customer found this explanation unconvincing, as they reasonably expected freshly prepared food to be hot, not cold enough to handle comfortably. This negative experience highlights potential issues with the restaurant's delivery service, particularly regarding the timeliness and temperature of the food upon arrival.

Food Quality and Presentation:

The first reviewer found the food to be both "delicious and presentable." This suggests that Ling Ling is capable of preparing tasty dishes that are also visually appealing. The specific items mentioned – sesame chicken combo, fried dumplings, and spicy Mala style chicken – were all positively received by this customer.

In contrast, the second reviewer's experience with cold food raises concerns about the consistency of food quality, especially when it comes to delivery. Cold food can significantly detract from the dining experience and suggests a potential lapse in the restaurant's procedures for ensuring food is delivered promptly and at the correct temperature.

The conflicting reports on food quality and delivery service indicate that customer experiences may vary. While some may receive delicious and well-prepared food with efficient service, others might encounter issues with delivery times and food temperature.

Environment and Atmosphere:

Since Ling Ling Chinese Restaurant operates on a "take out only" basis, there is no information available regarding the dine-in environment or atmosphere. Customers will primarily interact with the restaurant staff during the order placement and pickup process. The positive feedback about friendly service suggests that the interaction, albeit brief, is likely to be pleasant.

Services Offered:

The reviews clearly indicate that Ling Ling Chinese Restaurant offers takeout service. The negative review also implies that they provide delivery, although this service appears to have been problematic for at least one customer. Local users interested in delivery should inquire about the delivery radius, estimated delivery times, and any potential fees associated with this service. It would also be prudent to consider the recent negative experience reported by another customer regarding cold delivered food.

Dine-in service is explicitly stated as unavailable by one of the reviewers ("You can only order take out"). Therefore, customers should plan accordingly.

Features and Potential Promotions:

The menu at Ling Ling includes standard Chinese-American fare, as suggested by the sesame chicken combo, fried dumplings, and spicy Mala style chicken mentioned in the positive review. The inclusion of "spicy Mala style chicken" hints at some regional or specialty dishes that might be worth exploring for those who enjoy spicier options. However, the limited information does not provide a comprehensive overview of their menu or any unique features.

There is no mention of any current promotions, discounts, or special offers in the provided reviews. Local users interested in potential deals or new menu items should contact the restaurant directly or check if they have any online presence, such as a website or social media page.

Summary for Local Users:

Ling Ling Chinese Restaurant in Williamsport is a takeout-only establishment that has received mixed reviews from recent customers. On the positive side, one customer praised the delicious and presentable food, the quick 10-minute wait time for takeout, and the excellent, friendly service. This suggests that for takeout orders placed and picked up at the restaurant, customers can expect a positive experience.

However, another customer reported a very negative experience with delivery, citing a long wait time and cold food upon arrival, coupled with a dismissive response from the restaurant. This indicates potential issues with their delivery service that local users should be aware of.

For local residents in Williamsport looking for Chinese takeout, Ling Ling is an option to consider. If you plan to pick up your order, you might experience the efficient service and tasty food reported by one reviewer. However, if you are considering delivery, it would be wise to weigh the risk of potential delays and temperature issues based on the recent negative feedback. It might be beneficial to inquire about their delivery procedures and estimated times before placing an order. To learn more about their complete menu and any current promotions, contacting Ling Ling Chinese Restaurant directly is recommended.

Worse place to eat from. Waited 30+ for cold food when they are 5!!! Mins away from my house. When I called to tell them I got a round about how they just made it fresh. Fresh is hot and streaming. Not cold and able to pick up with my hands. Very displeased never will order again

Food is always good. And everyone there are always friendly and helpful. I still use my Ling Ling chopsticks they gave out during the holiday season last year :)

Food quality is excellent with fresh produce and proper seasoning. The Egg Foo Young is outstanding; would recommend most items on the Chef Specialties list, esp Triple Delight Mala, Mongolian Beef, and Cantonese Brown Noodles. We generally get a large take-out order: appetizers + three entrees can make dinner and a couple of lunches, so it's very cost effective.

I've never ordered anything I didn't love. The cheese wonton's are amazing. The dining room is still closed off since Covid. I think it's all takeout now. I used to like eating there in person. Maybe someday.
