About Lin Garden

Lin Garden is a Chinese restaurant located at 5920 Airline Hwy in Baton Rouge, Louisiana (LA 70805), USA. As a part of the Chinese Restaurant category, Lin Garden aims to provide Chinese cuisine to the local community of Baton Rouge. They can be contacted at (225) 960-3911 or via mobile phone at +1 225-960-3911 for inquiries or to place orders for dine-in or takeout service.

The limited customer reviews available online offer a somewhat mixed perspective on the dining experience at Lin Garden. While there is high praise for the quality of some of their food items, there are also concerns raised about service, pricing accuracy, and the surrounding neighborhood. Potential customers should consider these varied points when deciding whether to visit Lin Garden.

One enthusiastic reviewer described the food at Lin Garden as "absolutely fantastic," singling out the egg rolls as being particularly exceptional, even claiming them to be "some of the best I've ever had." This strong positive feedback suggests that Lin Garden excels in at least some of its culinary offerings, and the egg rolls may be a signature or highly recommended item on their menu. This positive comment could be a significant draw for customers who appreciate well-made egg rolls.

Another reviewer provided a more balanced perspective, noting that the food was generally "good" and the staff was "nice." However, this reviewer also pointed out some notable drawbacks. One concern was the lack of helpfulness from the staff regarding the menu. Specifically, they recounted an instance where they ordered a dish listed as a lunch special but were charged the price of a regular plate, which was more expensive and offered less food than the lunch special. This indicates a potential issue with staff knowledge about promotions or accurate billing practices. The reviewer also mentioned that the egg rolls, while seemingly good enough to warrant a mention, were "kind of small." This contrasts with the other reviewer's high praise, suggesting that the size might be a point of contention or that quality might outweigh size for some customers.

A significant point raised by the second reviewer was the nature of the surrounding area, which they described as "super ghetto." They recounted an incident where a beggar walked into the restaurant to ask for money while they were ordering food. This observation about the neighborhood's character might be a deterrent for customers who are not comfortable with such environments and is an important factor for potential visitors to consider, especially if they are unfamiliar with the area.

Considering these reviews, Lin Garden appears to be a Chinese restaurant that offers some dishes of excellent quality, with the egg rolls receiving particularly high praise. The staff is generally perceived as nice, but there may be issues with their knowledge of the menu and promotional pricing, potentially leading to overcharges or smaller portions than expected. Additionally, the location of the restaurant in a neighborhood described as "ghetto" might be a concern for some customers regarding safety or comfort.

As a Chinese restaurant, Lin Garden likely offers a standard menu of popular Chinese-American dishes. These typically include a variety of appetizers (including their noteworthy egg rolls), soups, fried rice and noodle dishes, and entrees featuring chicken, beef, pork, and seafood prepared with various sauces and vegetables. The mention of a "lunch special" suggests that they may offer discounted pricing or specific menu items during lunch hours. However, the discrepancy experienced by one reviewer indicates that customers should be vigilant about verifying prices and ensuring they are charged correctly for any advertised specials.

Currently, the provided information does not include any specific details about ongoing promotions or discounts at Lin Garden, other than the mention of a "lunch special" which may have been misapplied in one instance. Local residents interested in learning more about any current specials, their full menu, and pricing are advised to contact the restaurant directly using the phone numbers provided. They may also be able to inquire about the hours during which lunch specials are available and ensure accurate billing when placing their orders.

In conclusion, Lin Garden in Baton Rouge, LA, is a Chinese restaurant that has received high praise for the quality of its food, particularly the egg rolls. The staff is generally considered nice, but there are potential issues with menu knowledge and accurate pricing, especially regarding lunch specials. A significant factor to consider is the restaurant's location in a neighborhood that one reviewer described as "ghetto," which might influence the comfort level of some potential customers. While the food quality seems to be a strong point for some items, it is advisable for new customers to be mindful of pricing and the surrounding environment when considering a visit to Lin Garden. Contacting the restaurant directly for menu details, current specials, and to clarify any pricing concerns would be a prudent step for those interested in trying their food.

Food was good, staff was nice, however they don’t help you much with the menu I ordered something that was on the lunch special and the guy charged me like a normal plate which was more expensive and less food than lunch special. The egg rolls are kind of small as well. The area is super ghetto as I was ordering food, a begger walked in to ask me for money so yeah if you’re not used to neighborhoods like that, wouldn’t recommend you to go.

From out of town, I was looking for some nice Chinese food. This was one of the options that popped up on Google. I have eaten a LOT (International, small towns, cruise ships) of Chinese food and this was the near the bottom. Ordered stuff that should not be hard to screw up. Like plain vegetables and a clear broth soup, but some how they did. The people were nice enough. The location was very sketchy at night even with a police car parked outside. This could be just me not knowing the area. I knew I should have taken my family some where else to eat as soon as I drove up to the parking lot.
