About Like Cafe
Welcome to Like Cafe, an Asian restaurant located at 6205 18th Ave in the Brooklyn borough of New York City (11204), USA. While categorized as a Chinese Restaurant on the platform, Like Cafe appears to operate more as a Hong Kong style cafe, offering a diverse menu that extends beyond traditional Chinese cuisine. You can reach them at (718) 975-2188 or +1 718-975-2188 for inquiries or to place an order.
Based on customer reviews, Like Cafe presents itself as a casual dining spot with a broad menu influenced by Hong Kong cafe culture. These establishments typically offer a wide array of dishes, blending Chinese and Western influences, and serve as versatile spaces for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. While specific details about the ambiance of Like Cafe are not provided, Hong Kong style cafes are generally characterized by a bustling and efficient atmosphere, catering to individuals and groups looking for a variety of affordable and comforting food options. The mention of a "lot of choices" on the menu suggests a diverse culinary offering within a relaxed setting.
The services offered by Like Cafe likely include both dine-in and takeout options. One reviewer mentioned trying the restaurant for a meal, implying a dine-in experience, while the ability to recommend specific dishes also suggests that takeout is a viable option for customers. Hong Kong style cafes are known for their quick service and ability to cater to both sit-down meals and on-the-go orders. To confirm the availability of dine-in, takeout, and any potential delivery services, contacting Like Cafe directly using the provided phone numbers is recommended.
A key feature of Like Cafe, as highlighted by a customer, is the extensive menu with a "lot of choices." This suggests a wide variety of dishes catering to different tastes and preferences. Among the recommended items is the "breakfast specials #D," which has apparently garnered positive feedback from many patrons. Another highly recommended dish is the "Singapore fried noodle," which one reviewer found to be satisfying and not disappointing. This indicates that Like Cafe has certain popular dishes that customers particularly enjoy.
However, not all dishes received the same level of praise. The "egg drop beef chow fun" was described as "okay, not as good as the regular beef chow fun." This suggests that while some items are standouts, others might be considered average in comparison. This kind of nuanced feedback is helpful for potential customers in making their menu selections.
In contrast to the positive feedback on menu variety and certain dishes, another review raises concerns about portion sizes and value. This customer reported receiving a sandwich with "much less filling" and a noodle dish with a limited amount of meat ("only three tiny pieces"). They also noted a reduction in the size of their lemon tea, from a regular cup to a coffee cup size, while paying "almost 20 for two meals." This reviewer expressed disappointment, feeling that the reduced portions amounted to being "deceitful." This feedback is a significant point for potential customers to consider, especially regarding the value for money.
Currently, no specific promotional information for Like Cafe is available in the provided reviews. Hong Kong style cafes may offer daily specials, set lunch or dinner menus, or other promotions to attract customers. Given the mixed feedback on value, it would be beneficial for potential customers to inquire about any specials or deals that might be available to make their dining experience more economical. Checking local online platforms or contacting the cafe directly could provide information on any current promotions.
The two customer reviews present a somewhat mixed picture of Like Cafe. The first review highlights the positive aspects, such as the extensive menu and the deliciousness of specific dishes like breakfast special #D and Singapore fried noodle. It positions Like Cafe as a "good Hong Kong style cafe in Brooklyn" with potential for future exploration of other menu items. This suggests that many customers have had positive experiences with the taste and variety of the food.
However, the second review raises significant concerns about the value proposition, citing reduced portion sizes for the price paid. This feedback could be a deterrent for customers who prioritize getting a substantial amount of food for their money. The strong language used ("deceitful") indicates a high level of dissatisfaction with the perceived reduction in value. This discrepancy in feedback suggests that the experience at Like Cafe might vary, or that certain aspects, like portion sizes, might be inconsistent.
Considering these reviews, Like Cafe appears to be a Hong Kong style cafe in Brooklyn with a broad menu that includes some highly recommended dishes like the breakfast special #D and Singapore fried noodle. The variety of choices is a definite plus. However, potential customers should be aware of recent feedback regarding potentially reduced portion sizes and the perceived value for money. It would be prudent to consider both the positive comments on taste and variety and the negative comments on portion size when deciding whether to visit Like Cafe.
In conclusion, Like Cafe at 6205 18th Ave in Brooklyn offers a diverse menu of Hong Kong style cafe fare, with specific dishes like the breakfast special #D and Singapore fried noodle receiving positive mentions for their taste. While the variety of options is a noted advantage, recent customer feedback indicates potential concerns about portion sizes and overall value. Local users interested in exploring a Hong Kong style cafe with a wide menu should consider both the positive recommendations for specific dishes and the reported issues with portion sizes when making their decision. Contacting the cafe directly for the most up-to-date information on their menu, services, and any current promotions might also be helpful.

Customer Reviews
The menu has a lot of choices. I picked the breakfast specials #D that is recommended by many people, and I like it. The Singapore fried noodle which is highly recommended did not disappoint me. The egg drop beef chow fun is okay, not as good as the regular beef chow fun. Overall it’s a good Hong Kong style cafe in Brooklyn with many items in the menu that I will try out next time.
There's another piece of sandwich with much less filling. And the meat in the noodles is like limited edition, there are only three tiny pieces. We paid almost 20 for two meals and the portion shrunk a lot, the lemon tea was in regular cup size, now it shrunk to a coffee cup size. I think this is deceitful.
A wonderful atmosphere and great services. The food was delicious!!
Pretty decent cafe with very good prices. Really liked the tofu and fish fillet with rice and stir fried spaghetti. Would come back!
Love the unique atmosphere, though the arrangement on the tables can be better since there’s monitors that aren’t in use, but places next to where customers dine. Food was average and possibly worse than some places serving Hong Kong style food on 86th street in Brooklyn since many dishes lacked flavor. Service was super prompt and staff were friendly.
