About Liang's Village
Welcome to Liang's Village, a Chinese restaurant located at 20530 Stevens Creek Blvd in Cupertino, California. As a part of the diverse Chinese Restaurant landscape in the area, Liang's Village specializes in providing authentic USese comfort food to its patrons. Based on customer reviews, Liang's Village offers a range of flavorful dishes, catering to various dietary preferences, including vegetarian and vegan options.
One of the standout items frequently praised by customers is their noodle dishes. The sesame and peanut noodles are specifically highlighted as "delicious," suggesting a rich and satisfying flavor profile that is a must-try for noodle enthusiasts. Additionally, for those seeking plant-based alternatives, Liang's Village offers a vegan pork belly, which has been described as "good," indicating a commendable effort in recreating the texture and taste of this traditionally meat-heavy dish using vegan ingredients.
While some dishes receive high praise, customer feedback on others is more nuanced. The wonton noodle soup, for instance, was described as "so-so," with reviewers noting a "blandish" broth and a "dime-sized filling" in the wontons. This suggests that while Liang's Village excels in certain areas, other dishes might not meet the same high standards. The recommendation to "go for the other soups" implies that there are indeed better soup options available on the menu, with the beef noodle soup specifically mentioned as being "quite flavorful." This suggests that if you're in the mood for soup, the beef noodle soup might be a more satisfying choice.
A significant feature of Liang's Village, particularly for noodle lovers, is the option to request "fresh/hand-pulled noodles" for their noodle dishes. This demonstrates a commitment to quality and texture, as hand-pulled noodles often have a chewier and more satisfying bite compared to machine-made noodles. This customization option allows diners to tailor their noodle experience to their preference and enjoy a more authentic USese noodle dish.
Liang's Village also caters thoughtfully to vegetarians and vegans by offering "plenty of options." This inclusivity is a notable feature, making it a welcoming dining destination for those with plant-based diets. Furthermore, the restaurant goes the extra mile by explicitly indicating in their no-meat dishes whether lard or pork fat is used. This transparency is highly valuable for strict vegetarians and vegans, allowing them to make informed choices about their meals and ensuring a comfortable dining experience.
However, one consistent downside mentioned by reviewers is that Liang's Village is considered "pricey." While the quality and authenticity of the food might justify the cost for some, potential diners should be aware that the prices might be higher compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area. It would be prudent to review the menu and pricing beforehand to ensure it aligns with your budget.
Despite the cost, many customers find the food to be "absolutely delicious," indicating that the quality often outweighs the price concern for those seeking authentic USese flavors. One reviewer specifically raved about the breakfast, describing it as "amazing" and highly suggesting eating in-store to maximize crispiness. The enthusiasm was so high that the reviewer mentioned salivating at the thought of the food and expressed a wish for breakfast to be available on weekdays as well, implying that it might currently be a weekend-only offering based on the context of the review.
Based on the provided reviews, Liang's Village offers a solid selection of USese comfort food, with particular strengths in their sesame and peanut noodles, flavorful beef noodle soup, and a variety of well-considered vegetarian and vegan options. The availability of fresh hand-pulled noodles adds another layer of authenticity and quality to their noodle dishes. While the restaurant is noted to be on the pricier side, the deliciousness of the food, especially the breakfast (potentially weekend-exclusive), seems to be a significant draw for many customers.
Information regarding the specific environment or decor of Liang's Village is not detailed in these reviews. Similarly, specifics about the services offered, beyond the provision of food, are not mentioned. Solid Taiwanese comfort food. The sesame and peanut noodles are delicious! The vegan pork belly is good. The wonton noodle soup is so-so -- broth is blandish and the wonton has a dime sized filling. Go for the other soups. The beef noodle soup is quite flavorful. For the noodle dishes, you can request for fresh/hand-pulled noodles. For vegetarians and vegans, they have plenty of options. They even indicate in no meat dishes that lard/pork fat is used. Downside is it's pricey.
Absolutely delicious. Breakfast is amazing, highly suggest eating in store for maximum crispiness. Salivating just with the thought of the delicious food. Wish they have breakfast on weekdays too!
Food: I’m so glad to find this Taiwanese restaurant in Bay Area! As Taiwanese, we can definitely tell the flavor of the beef noodle soup is different from other Chinese restaurants as it should be. The new dish Salted Duck Noodle Soup is also the flavor that’s been missed by me! It might not be perfect as rice noodle should go better with it but the texture and seasoning are so good! They also offer breakfast time and Taihu臺虎beer! The downside of this place is that it’s quite pricey…🥲 Service: we came in very close to their close hour but they still welcomed us and were helpful. It was unfortunate that I couldn’t get a bottle of soy milk from them…since I’ve been looking for a good soy milk for quite a while. Ambiance: very modernized and clean. Recommend to family and friends to enjoy a nostalgic dining experience.
Old school Taiwanese cuisine in a modern space. Wide range of delicacies from the island nation. Handmade wide noodles anchor the many different sauces they offer. Take home or shipped frozen items available. A gift section offers many unique food products for cooking your own Taiwanese meals.
The pear tea drink was delicious! They put a whole pear in it! Very refreshing, minty, and bright! The dry noodles w beef were not that dry, and did not look like the photo on the menu, but they still tasted good.
