About Leeann Chin

Leeann Chin is a Chinese restaurant located at 4721 Hwy 61 N in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. As a local establishment within the Chinese Restaurant category, it aims to provide a variety of Chinese-inspired dishes to the community. Customers can contact them at (651) 653-8815 or +1 651-653-8815 for inquiries or to place orders for dine-in or takeout. Recent customer reviews offer insights into the food quality and hygiene practices at this location.

One customer shared a particularly negative experience with two specific dishes. They described the sweet and sour chicken as merely a cut-up chicken patty served with sauce in a cup, implying a lack of traditional preparation and potentially lower quality ingredients. The Kung Pao Beef also received a poor review, with the customer noting that it contained only "3 little pieces of meat and a ton of vegetables," suggesting an imbalanced ratio of ingredients and potentially a less satisfying meat portion. This reviewer concluded that their experience was "hit and miss," especially in contrast to their usual positive experiences at this location, indicating a potential inconsistency in food quality.

Another customer reported a concerning observation regarding hygiene practices. They noted that after handling transactions at the cashier, an employee proceeded directly to chopping vegetables without washing their hands. This raises significant concerns about food safety and cleanliness, particularly in light of a recent remodel mentioned by the reviewer. The comment "Need to focus on cleanliness after the remodel" suggests that while the physical space might have been updated, adherence to proper hygiene protocols might not have been adequately addressed or consistently followed.

The fact that one reviewer mentioned that "Normally the food here is great but this sucks" indicates that Leeann Chin in White Bear Lake may have had a better reputation for food quality in the past. The recent negative feedback suggests a potential decline or inconsistency in their culinary offerings. This could be a temporary issue or a more persistent problem that potential customers might want to consider.

The review that highlighted the hygiene concern also stated that "the food here is good" overall. This provides a somewhat contradictory view compared to the other review that found specific dishes to be unsatisfactory. It's possible that the quality of different dishes varies, or that individual perceptions of "good" food differ. However, the hygiene issue raised is a more objective concern that could impact the overall dining experience and the health and safety of customers.

Information regarding the environment or ambiance of Leeann Chin in White Bear Lake is limited. The mention of a "remodel" suggests that the physical appearance of the restaurant might have been recently updated, potentially improving the aesthetic appeal. However, the customer's observation about the lack of handwashing after handling money and before food preparation overshadows any potential positive impact of the remodel on the overall environment, as cleanliness is a critical aspect of a pleasant dining experience.

In terms of services, Leeann Chin likely offers standard Chinese restaurant services such as dine-in and takeout, given the presence of a physical address and phone numbers. The interaction with the cashier and the preparation of food indicate that they handle customer orders directly. However, the reported lack of handwashing raises questions about the thoroughness of their hygiene protocols, which is a crucial aspect of service in the food industry.

Features of Leeann Chin that can be gleaned from the reviews include a menu with standard Chinese dishes like sweet and sour chicken and Kung Pao beef. The availability of these dishes suggests a typical Chinese restaurant offering. However, the inconsistent quality reported in the reviews makes it difficult to identify specific positive features related to the food itself. The recent remodel could be considered a feature aimed at improving the restaurant's appeal, but the potential lapse in hygiene practices post-remodel detracts from this.

There is no promotional information available in the provided text. Therefore, it is not possible to comment on any special offers, discounts, or unique promotions that Leeann Chin in White Bear Lake might be running to attract customers. Individuals interested in such information would need to contact the restaurant directly using the provided phone numbers to inquire about any ongoing deals or seasonal specials.

In conclusion, recent customer feedback for Leeann Chin in White Bear Lake, MN, presents a mixed picture. While one reviewer found the food to be generally good but raised a significant hygiene concern regarding handwashing practices, another found specific dishes to be of poor quality compared to their past experiences. The mention of a recent remodel suggests an effort to update the restaurant's appearance, but the potential lack of focus on post-remodel cleanliness is a serious issue. Potential customers should be aware of these recent observations regarding food quality inconsistencies and hygiene practices when considering dining at or ordering from this Leeann Chin location. It might be prudent to inquire about their current hygiene protocols and perhaps try a variety of dishes to gauge the current food quality.

Sweet and sour chicken was nothing but a cut up chicken patty with some sauce in a cup. The Kung Pau Beef was almost worse. You get 3 little pieces of meat and a ton of vegetables. Hit and miss to say the least. Normally the food here is great but this sucks.

So…we ordered our food and the food here is good. One thing we noticed was the cashier checked us out, etc and while waiting for our food went straight to chopping veggies without washing hands. Need to focus on cleanliness after the remodel.

Cute, small location in White Bear Lake. The food is up to standard, the staff is friendly, and the dining room is clean. This location doesn’t get a lot of traffic at one time so it’s a quick in and out experience.
