About Leeann Chin
Leeann Chin is a Chinese restaurant located at 7632 150th St W, Apple Valley, MN 55124, USA, operating under the platform category of "Chinese Restaurant." They can be contacted at (952) 997-7140 or via their mobile number +1 952-997-7140. Based on recent customer reviews, the experiences at this particular Leeann Chin location appear to be somewhat inconsistent, with both positive and negative feedback regarding various aspects of their service and food.
One customer mentioned that "the food was good" during their visit. This suggests that the restaurant is capable of providing satisfactory meals. However, this positive comment was accompanied by a specific observation regarding the handling of food. The reviewer noted that a staff member was "picking through the Oster wings and picking out the smaller wings" while serving. This behavior could be perceived negatively by customers, as it might imply an inconsistency in portion sizes or a less than ideal serving practice.
The same reviewer also commented on a specific dish, the "Firecracker Shrimp," noting that it "isn't spicy even though the name implies it will be." This is important feedback for potential customers who might be expecting a spicy dish based on its name. It suggests a discrepancy between the menu description and the actual flavor profile of the dish.
Another, more critical review paints a less favorable picture of this Leeann Chin location. The reviewer stated, "I normally really like Leeann chins. This one sucks." This strong statement indicates a significant level of dissatisfaction compared to their experiences at other Leeann Chin establishments. Several specific issues were raised in this detailed feedback.
One of the primary concerns highlighted was the portion sizes, with the reviewer claiming that "the workers are very stingy on portion for one, even when it’s dead." This suggests an inconsistency in the amount of food served, particularly when the restaurant is not busy. Such practices can lead to a perception of poor value for money among customers.
The reviewer also raised concerns about food freshness, alleging that "they will leave food out for a long time before tossing it." If true, this could have implications for the quality and safety of the food served to customers. Leaving food out for extended periods can increase the risk of bacterial growth and compromise food safety standards.
Regarding customer service, the reviewer noted an interaction with an "old guy" who consistently tries to upsell drinks or appetizers but does not engage in further conversation. While upselling is a common practice in the food service industry, the lack of further interaction might be perceived as impersonal by some customers.
More seriously, the reviewer raised significant concerns about food safety practices they allegedly observed. They recounted an incident where a worker "accidentally put his thumb about a week ago in someone’s food" and another instance where a worker "moved someone’s plate back and forth from the line to add something on." The reviewer emphasized that these actions were performed with "no gloves or nothing" and that the worker did not seem to notice or acknowledge the potential contamination. The customer who witnessed the thumb incident reportedly had an "awkward pause" and "obviously saw it," but the worker remained unaware. These alleged incidents raise serious questions about the restaurant's adherence to basic food safety protocols.
The reviewer also mentioned inconsistency in portion sizes based on the staff member serving, stating that "the girl in the front also very tight on portions when that specific manager is around it’s night and day." This further supports the notion of inconsistent serving practices depending on the staff or management present.
The overall impression from this detailed negative review is that there is a perceived "push for margin" that may be negatively impacting other aspects of the customer experience, such as portion sizes and food safety. The reviewer concluded by stating their intention not to return, citing the consistent issues observed over multiple visits and recommending that others give their business to competitors in the area.
Based on these reviews, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive description of the environment or typical services of this Leeann Chin location. The feedback primarily focuses on the quality and handling of the food, as well as the perceived inconsistencies in portion sizes and potential food safety lapses.
There is no information provided regarding the ambiance or decor of the restaurant. Similarly, there are no details about specific services offered beyond the preparation and serving of food for dine-in or takeout (implied by the nature of a fast-casual restaurant). There is no mention of any promotional offers or special features.
In conclusion, while one reviewer found the food to be "good," the more detailed feedback raises significant concerns about this Leeann Chin location in Apple Valley. Potential customers should be aware of the reported issues regarding inconsistent portion sizes, potential food handling and safety lapses, and a possible lack of spice in dishes like the Firecracker Shrimp. The discrepancy in experiences suggests that the quality and service might vary. Given the detailed negative feedback and the recommendation to consider other dining options in the area, individuals may want to weigh these points carefully before choosing to dine at or order from this particular Leeann Chin restaurant.

The food was good. We did notice the women helping us was picking through the Oster wings and picking out the smaller wings. The Fircraker Shrimp isn't spicy even though the name implies it will be.
I normally really like Leeann chins. This one sucks. The workers are very stingy on portion for one, even when it’s dead. They will leave food out for a long time before tossing it. Old guy has always asked for me a drink or an app as an add on but has never asked a single other question once. They are also sloppy on food safety. Watched him accidentally put his thumb about a week ago in someone’s food and he moved someone’s plate back and forth from the line to add something on. No gloves or nothing and didn’t even notice it, customer took an awkward pause and obviously saw it, and the worker didn’t even acknowledge it. The girl in the front also very tight on portions when that specific manager is around it’s night and day. There is obviously a push for margin and a lack of care for other aspects and I’m sorry but it really shows. I come here occasionally since moving to Apple Valley and the issues are consistent it has been over many visits. Well good job you made enough margin on me I won’t be back. There is a lot of competition around give the business to someone else!
Had a fine online ordering dine in experience, food was ready as soon as I arrived, ESPN was on cable tv, and I enjoyed it, temperature was good, restaurant was clean. Only hang up was staff seemed a little grumpy and argumentive which means I will never be back to that Leeanne chin I'll go to my regular one in Eagan. I like the restaurant chain I've been a loyal customer for over 20 years
Ordered fried rice, Mongolian chicken. The food was delicious. This location never disappoints. Also, a hint for someone looking to go here. The guarantee of every Leeann Chin restaurant, when requested, will make your protein fresh to order only if they have not just made a fresh batch. I recommend this place for a quick bite. Clean restaurant!!
I normally get the firecracker shrimp and peking chicken. The shrimp was made fresh, but the leftover lunch rush peking tasted like soap. I understand cleaning up, but please remove any food while doing it. I normally love this, and I'm sorry, but that was not normally the experience I got at this location.
