About Lee's Kitchen

Welcome to Lee's Kitchen, a Chinese Restaurant located at 2767 El Camino Real in Santa Clara, California. Based on customer testimonials, Lee's Kitchen offers a unique and appreciated dining experience characterized by home-style cooking, accommodating service, and generous portions. For those in the Santa Clara area seeking a more personal touch in their Chinese cuisine, Lee's Kitchen presents itself as a noteworthy option.

One of the standout features of Lee's Kitchen, as highlighted by a delighted customer, is the personal care taken in preparing the food. This reviewer recounted an experience where the elderly woman who took their order personally went into the kitchen to cook the meal. This suggests a small, family-run establishment where the preparation of food is done with a hands-on approach, potentially leading to a more authentic and carefully crafted taste. The reviewer's enthusiasm ("The food is amazing") and their intention to become a regular customer speak volumes about the quality and appeal of the food at Lee's Kitchen.

Furthermore, Lee's Kitchen demonstrates a strong commitment to accommodating the dietary needs and preferences of their customers. An update from a returning customer specifically mentions the restaurant's willingness and ability to adjust the ingredients according to individual requirements. Whether it's reducing the amount of salt or soy, the staff at Lee's Kitchen are noted for going "far and beyond" to ensure customer satisfaction. This level of personalized service is a significant feature, particularly for those with specific dietary restrictions or preferences, making Lee's Kitchen a considerate choice for a wider range of diners.

Another reviewer with a long history with Lee's Kitchen offers a nostalgic perspective, recalling their childhood when the restaurant was located nearby. This longevity and connection to the community suggest a consistent presence and a history of serving the local area. While this reviewer notes that they haven't visited in a while, they remember the meals as "decent" and the portions as "bigger." This historical context implies a certain reliability and value that has been associated with Lee's Kitchen over the years.

The phrase "1970’s back in the day" used by the long-time customer might hint at a classic, perhaps more traditional style of American Chinese cuisine that has been maintained over time. This could be appealing to those who appreciate familiar flavors and a sense of nostalgia associated with this era of Chinese-American cooking.

The overall impression from these reviews is that Lee's Kitchen offers more than just standard takeout fare. The personal touch in the cooking, the willingness to accommodate dietary requests, and the generous portions all contribute to a unique dining experience. The positive emojis included in one review (sake, curry, Japanese crackers, rice, onigiri, takeout box, red envelope, China, chopsticks, mooncake) might be a playful expression of the reviewer's satisfaction and the diverse tastes they enjoyed, although some of these items are not typically found in a standard American Chinese restaurant and might be used metaphorically to express their enjoyment of the overall meal experience.

Based on the available information, the environment of Lee's Kitchen is not explicitly described. However, the mention of an "elderly woman" cooking suggests a possibly intimate and family-oriented setting. The focus seems to be more on the quality and care of the food and the service rather than a particular ambiance. It's likely a comfortable and functional space that prioritizes the culinary experience and customer interaction.

The services primarily seem to revolve around takeout, as indicated by the reviews. However, the accommodating nature of the staff regarding dietary requests implies a willingness to go the extra mile for their customers, whether they are dining in (if that's an option not explicitly mentioned) or taking food to go. To confirm if dine-in service is available, it would be best to contact Lee's Kitchen directly.

The features of Lee's Kitchen include home-style Chinese cooking, freshly prepared meals (often cooked personally by the owner or a key staff member), a strong emphasis on accommodating individual dietary needs (such as low salt or soy requirements), and generous portion sizes. The long-standing presence in the community also suggests a degree of consistency and reliability. The personal touch in the service and cooking is a significant differentiator.

There is no specific promotional information mentioned in the provided reviews. To learn about any current specials, discounts, or promotions that Lee's Kitchen might be offering, it is recommended to contact them directly at (408) 247-8662 or +1 408-247-8662. They would be the best source for any ongoing offers for local customers.

In conclusion, Lee's Kitchen in Santa Clara offers a unique experience within the Chinese Restaurant category. It stands out for its home-style cooking, the personal involvement of the staff (including the cook), the willingness to accommodate dietary restrictions, and the generous portions. The positive feedback from customers, including a long-time patron, suggests a consistent level of quality and service that has been appreciated by the community. For those seeking a more personalized and caring approach to American Chinese cuisine in Santa Clara, Lee's Kitchen is definitely worth a visit or a call for takeout.

Update: If you want less salt ,or soy etc..just let them know. I require very little salt and they go far and beyond to accommodate. That’s why I go there. I haven’t been here in a while. Decent meals. Bigger portions. 1970’s back in the day. I remember growing up with them when they were a few hundred feet away from their original spot. It’s okay quality, as always, post wherever u end up whether 50 years ago u remember or today.

We ordered chicken corn soup, house boss chow fen, and green bean beef. The food reminds me of Cantonese American style Chinese food. Food was good, flavors not over powering. Prices are fair and portions are decent. There was no soap in the woman’s restroom. Service and staff were attentive.

I was expecting authentic Chinese-style beef noodle soup, but what I got was a disappointing, flavorless dish. The menu didn’t specify that it was Cantonese-style, and even if it was, it lacked depth—just tasted like dumpling soup with some floury, salty meat. The beef didn’t even taste like real beef, more like a mixed mystery meat, which was pretty gross. When I brought it up, they wouldn’t even offer to replace the whole dish… This place is not authentic Chinese food—it’s more like an overpriced Panda Express but worse. The target customers don’t seem to be Chinese, and as someone who is, I definitely won’t be coming back.

This is a mom and pop restaurant serving authentic Chinese food. Great tasty good with good portion sizes, not too salty or oily. Service is fantastic! The owner is extremely friendly and warm. Nice ambience too with 8 tables total for indoor seating. They have delivery on Fantuan and Happy Panda. I ordered the salt and pepper pork chops (spicy), pork wontons, beef and green bean, beef hefen (干炒牛河)。
