About Lee’s garden Chinese restaurant

Lee’s Garden Chinese Restaurant is located at 21 Thornton St, San Leandro, CA 94577, USA, and can be contacted at (510) 483-2328 or +1 510-483-2328. Based on the limited recent customer feedback available online, experiences at this Chinese restaurant appear to be varied, with both positive and negative aspects highlighted.

One detailed review outlined several significant concerns regarding the food quality, portion sizes, pricing, and cleanliness of Lee’s Garden. This customer listed "cons" such as the food being overpriced and the portions being small. Specific dishes were criticized, with the broccoli and beef described as "literally grey," the sesame chicken reported as "soggy," and the chow mein deemed "not good." Furthermore, this reviewer expressed serious concerns about the cleanliness of the restaurant, stating it was "NOT GOOOOOD" with dust observed throughout. They also noted that a former dining room area was closed off and used for storing "random junk," including a tray seemingly being used to dry out food. This reviewer also mentioned a perceived decline in quality since the original ownership, suggesting a past positive experience that is no longer consistent.

In contrast to these negative points, the same reviewer mentioned a single "pro": the service was quick. This suggests that while the speed of service might be a positive attribute, it does not outweigh the reported issues with food quality, value, and cleanliness in this particular customer's experience.

However, another customer provided a more positive, albeit brief, review. This individual stated they "Got lots of food here last night with my family" and described the food as "Good" and the staff as "nice." They also appreciated that the food was "packed well" and indicated a willingness to order again in the future. This positive feedback suggests that some customers have had satisfactory experiences with Lee’s Garden, particularly regarding the taste of the food, the politeness of the staff, and the quality of packaging for takeout or delivery orders.

Considering these two contrasting reviews, it is difficult to form a definitive overall assessment of Lee’s Garden Chinese Restaurant. One review raises significant red flags concerning food quality (color, texture, taste), portion sizes relative to price, and the cleanliness of the establishment. The other review offers a more favorable perspective, highlighting good food, nice staff, and careful packaging.

Based on the available information, there are no specific details provided about the ambiance or décor of the restaurant. One reviewer mentioned a former dining room being closed off and used for storage, which implies that dine-in options might be limited or the dining area may not be in optimal condition. Without further information, it is impossible to accurately describe the environment of Lee’s Garden.

The services offered appear to include both dine-in (though potentially limited based on the closed dining room comment) and takeout/delivery, as suggested by the customer who ordered "lots of food" and found it "packed well." The quick service mentioned by one reviewer could be seen as a positive aspect of their service model, although it did not compensate for other negative aspects of their experience.

The features of Lee’s Garden seem to be typical of a standard Chinese-American restaurant, offering dishes like broccoli and beef, sesame chicken, and chow mein. However, the reported quality of these dishes varies significantly between the two reviews. The mention of original ownership suggests a history that may have contributed to past positive perceptions, but current experiences appear to be less consistent.

There is no promotional information available in the provided customer reviews. The feedback focuses solely on past dining or takeout experiences.

For local users in San Leandro considering Lee’s Garden Chinese Restaurant, the available reviews present a mixed picture. While one customer reported a positive experience with good food, nice staff, and careful packaging, another detailed several significant issues related to food quality, value, and cleanliness. Potential customers should be aware of these contrasting experiences. It might be prudent to consider these points and perhaps look for more recent or a broader range of reviews before making a decision. Contacting the restaurant directly at (510) 483-2328 or +1 510-483-2328 to inquire about their current practices and address any concerns might also be a helpful step.

Given the limited and conflicting feedback, it is challenging to provide a definitive recommendation. The strong negative points raised by one reviewer regarding food quality and cleanliness are serious concerns that potential customers should consider. However, the positive feedback from another customer suggests that satisfactory experiences are also possible. Local users may need to weigh these contrasting perspectives and potentially proceed with caution.

Cons: -over priced -portions are small -broccoli and beef was *literally* grey -sesame chicken was soggy????? -chow mein was just not good. -cleanliness of the restaurant is NOT GOOOOOD. Dusty everywhere. What USED to be the dining room, is closed off and they have a bunch of random junk in there. I saw a tray sitting there drying out some food? Original ownership was good, everything else has not been good! Pros: -service was quick 😅

first of all the food is pretty good is it justifiable for the price? no. i order two noodles and 4 entrees and the price was nearly 90$ i get inflation is high but not 90 dollars high for simple ingredients. you honestly get better pricing and tastier food and other spots for half the price.

The food was good but both the tofu dishes were wrong. Tofu Mushroom with Chicken had no Tofu. Mushroom chicken is fine, but don't have tofu in the name of it's not in the dish. Weird but considering the next dish, maybe I lucked out missing the tofu. Ma Po Tofu is not what I have seen before. It is some weird, red soup, not golden fried tofu. Maybe this is the real way. It is kinda boring if it is. Soup was very thin and had very little flavor. Mostly it just had a lot of spice. I like spicy, but if it is just hot without flavoring, it is boring. The tofu was completely uncooked and texturally adds nothing. I miss the fried version. This belongs in the Soup section of the menu. Egg rolls, chow mein, and the beef with string beans were all tasty. Not bad. Not amazing. Good, cheap Chinese food. Worth a try.
