About Lee's Garden Chinese Restaurant

Welcome to Lee's Garden Chinese Restaurant, located at 2300 El Portal Dr Suite I in San Pablo, California. As a member of the Chinese Restaurant category, Lee's Garden aims to provide convenient Chinese food options for the local community. Based on the available customer reviews, experiences at Lee's Garden appear to be somewhat varied, with mentions of quick service and filling food contrasted by a serious report of potential foodborne illness.

Details regarding the environment of Lee's Garden Chinese Restaurant are not provided in the customer reviews. The focus of the feedback is primarily on the speed of service and the quality or impact of the food. Therefore, local users should likely anticipate a standard, functional setting typical of a restaurant focused on quick service, without specific information to suggest a particular ambiance or decor.

The service at Lee's Garden is described by one reviewer as facilitating a "get in and get out" experience, indicating a focus on speed and efficiency. This suggests that for customers looking for a quick meal without a lengthy wait, Lee's Garden aims to provide a fast turnaround. This type of service is often appreciated by those who are on a tight schedule or prefer a swift dining experience. However, the reviews do not offer extensive details about the overall attentiveness or friendliness of the staff beyond this aspect of speed.

One of the features highlighted in a customer review is the substantial nature of the food, described as definitely being able to "fill you up" and potentially induce a "food coma" – albeit "in a good way." This suggests that Lee's Garden offers generous portion sizes, which can be a significant draw for customers seeking value for their money and a satisfyingly large meal. The implication is that the food is hearty and substantial, likely to leave diners feeling full.

However, it is critical to address a concerning report from another customer. This review details a very negative experience where the customer purchased green beans for their mother, who, after consuming only a couple of bites, reported them as tasting "old and felt slimy." Within 5-6 hours, the mother developed a high fever and required emergency room treatment. The reviewer expressed a strong belief that the green beans were the cause of the illness, as it was the only food the mother had consumed that day. This is a serious accusation and a significant point of caution for potential customers. While the reviewer acknowledges that this might not be a common occurrence, it is an experience that warrants attention and highlights potential food safety concerns.

Given the stark contrast between the two reviews – one praising the quick and filling nature of the food, and the other detailing a potential case of foodborne illness – it is challenging to definitively characterize the overall quality and safety standards at Lee's Garden Chinese Restaurant based solely on this limited information. The positive review suggests a typical experience of satisfying a craving for quick Chinese food, while the negative review raises serious concerns about the freshness and safety of at least one dish.

Currently, there is no information regarding specific promotions or special offers at Lee's Garden Chinese Restaurant in the provided reviews. The feedback is centered on the speed of service, the filling nature of the food, and the concerning report about the green beans. To inquire about any potential discounts, specials, or popular menu items, local users would need to contact the restaurant directly at (510) 215-5689 or +1 510-215-5689. They may have ongoing promotions or recommendations that are not mentioned in these limited reviews.

In conclusion, Lee's Garden Chinese Restaurant in San Pablo offers the convenience of quick service and substantial portions of Chinese food. One reviewer found the food satisfying and likely to lead to a "food coma" in a positive sense. However, a significant concern is raised by another reviewer who reported a severe illness in their mother after she consumed green beans from the restaurant, which were described as old and slimy. This serious incident should give potential customers pause and highlights the importance of food quality and safety. Without further information or more balanced reviews, local users should approach Lee's Garden with caution and perhaps consider inquiring about the freshness and preparation of specific dishes before ordering.

About three weeks ago I went to get quick food for my mom. I went when they first open and got her the green beans. When she ate them she said they tasted old and felt slimy. She only took 2 bites of it. About 5-6 hours later she had a 103 fever and I had to take her to the ER. We are a 100% sure that’s what got her sick because that is all she ate that day. I know this doesn’t happen to a lot of people but this was my experience.

When you're seeking some quick chinese food, this is a spot to go. Get in and get out. But the food will definitely fill you up and put you in a food coma. In a good way of course! 😆

Now it's been awhile since I've gone to Lee's but back then it was really good for the price but now I've gone twice and got the same thing just to see if it got better but no it only got worse, I had ordered the beef and broccoli which the first time was lacking flavor so I had to get it again right and so I did, guess what the meat tasted really bad like it went bad but they wanted to use it up anyway it had a sour / foul taste to it but not the broccoli it was good but not cooked long enough and the chicken rice seems like they made to much with very little chicken and flavor overall will not be going back instead I will go to a different place to eat

Don't call in to ask what's available. You will be lied to. They think you'll come and just settle for whatever's available. Sometimes the seafood, isn't cooked all the way. But I really tried to give them a chance months to a year later. Just go somewhere else to not take the risk until further future new notice. I used to really vouch for them.😓😾I left immediately when I didn't see my item available. But was told over the phone there's a lot.
