About Lee's Chinese Restaurant

Lee's Chinese Restaurant, situated at 6215 W Kellogg Dr in Wichita, Kansas, offers a local option for those seeking Chinese cuisine. As a Chinese Restaurant in the area, Lee's provides a menu featuring a variety of familiar dishes, catering to both dine-in and takeout customers.

Based on recent customer feedback, the culinary experience at Lee's Chinese Restaurant appears to be somewhat varied. One customer described the food as "not bad" but "pretty average," indicating a satisfactory yet perhaps not exceptional taste. This suggests that while the food may meet basic expectations, it might not have distinctive flavors that particularly stand out. Specifically mentioned was the shrimp fried rice, where the shrimp was noted to have an unusual "film or breading," which was deemed unappealing by the reviewer. This detail is important for potential customers who have specific preferences regarding the texture and preparation of seafood in fried rice dishes.

In contrast, another customer who visited for the first time reported a positive experience with the General Tso's chicken and white rice, describing it as "pretty good" with a slight spiciness. This suggests that some of the menu items may be well-received and flavorful. However, this same reviewer expressed disappointment with the crab rangoon, which was described as not sweet despite being told otherwise. This discrepancy between expectation and reality led to a deduction in their overall rating. Additionally, this customer noted the presence of seeds in their lemonade, which they found unusual.

The service aspect of Lee's Chinese Restaurant also received mixed reviews. One customer specifically praised an "older lady" for being "very nice." However, they had a negative experience with their waitress, who they felt was "annoyed" by their presence and her job. This inconsistency in service quality is an important factor for potential diners to consider, as it can significantly impact the overall dining experience.

The atmosphere of Lee's Chinese Restaurant was described by one reviewer as "very dark and extremely uninviting." The ambiance of a restaurant plays a crucial role in the overall dining experience, and a dark and uninviting atmosphere may deter some customers who prefer a brighter or more welcoming setting. This is a significant aspect for those who value the environment in which they dine.

Considering the feedback, Lee's Chinese Restaurant offers a range of experiences for its customers. While some dishes, like the General Tso's chicken, have been positively reviewed, others, such as the shrimp fried rice and crab rangoon, have received less favorable comments. The service quality appears to vary, with some staff members being friendly and others less so. The restaurant's atmosphere has been described negatively by at least one customer.

For local users in Wichita, Kansas, who are considering Lee's Chinese Restaurant, it is advisable to weigh these recent experiences. If you are looking for a potentially satisfactory meal with some well-received dishes like the General Tso's chicken, and are less concerned about a potentially dark ambiance or inconsistent service, Lee's might be an option. However, if you have specific preferences regarding dishes like shrimp fried rice or crab rangoon, or if you prioritize a welcoming atmosphere and consistently attentive service, you might want to consider these points before making a decision.

Lee's Chinese Restaurant can be contacted at (316) 942-8822 or +1 316-942-8822 for inquiries or to place takeout orders. Located at 6215 W Kellogg Dr, Wichita, KS 67209, it is accessible for local residents. As with any dining establishment, individual experiences can vary, and these recent reviews offer a snapshot of some customers' perspectives.

Ultimately, the decision to dine at Lee's Chinese Restaurant will depend on individual preferences and priorities. The mixed feedback suggests that while it may offer an average Chinese food experience for some, others may encounter issues with specific dishes, service, or the overall atmosphere. Potential customers are encouraged to consider these factors when deciding whether to visit Lee's Chinese Restaurant in Wichita.

The food wasn't bad just tasted pretty average to us. Nothing really stood out as being the best. Ordered the shrimp fried rice and the shrimp tasted like it had some sort of film or breading on it. It was definitely not appealing. The older lady was very nice but our waitress was not. She seemed annoyed that we were there and that she had to do her job. Now the atmosphere was very dark and extremely uninviting.

First time ever going I had the general chicken and white rice little spicy, but pretty good actually. But I asked him if they crab red goose were sweet and they told me yes but there wasn’t sweet. Like traditional crab dragons so I have to dock some points for that and also my lemonade had seeds in it, which was pretty weird for me that had a pretty good time

Excellent service! Polite and attentive. The best service I've had in a while. The hot and sour soup and crab rangoon were absolutely delicious. The General Tso's chicken was okay, but not nearly as good as the soup and rangoon. The chicken was quite expensive (about $1 per piece of chicken).

Soo Kung Pao Chicken? 2/5 stars. Passable but not good Chicken chow mein? 1/5 stars. It looks like the chicken sat in a pan just long to not be pink, and it's just gross. Eggs rolls are a joke, crab rangoons are just sad. I do not recommend this place

Food tasted like chemicals (specifically the honey sauce) the server didn’t even try it/ was scared to try it, but when we got a new hirer she tried it and even revolted to the taste of the honey bleach. Then they proceeded to gaslight me, specifically the old one and tell me that it was fresh even though she didn’t even attempt to feel sorry. I feel so sorry for the new hirer because they kept telling her what to do, so I gave her a $10 tip which they proceeded to bully her for the tip. I over heated that they kept mentioning me and the tip (talking crap). Don’t recommend, the food was just chemicals, the server gaslighted us (except the new hire she was sweet). If I could rate it 0 stars I would.
