Le Gong Gourmet

Le Gong Gourmet is hands down one of the best spots for Chinese food! The portions are HUGE – I had the General Tso’s chicken, and it was delicious! So flavorful and the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. I even saved half for tomorrow! The service is always friendly, and the chefs are clearly amazing at what they do. If you're looking for great food, generous portions, and fast service, this place is a must-visit! Highly recommend!

As newcomers to the Waukesha area, my husband and I were excited to try Le Gong Gourmet after seeing recommendations in the “Waukesha Eats” Facebook group. We placed an order through their website and got orange chicken, beef with broccoli, white rice, lo mein, and crab rangoon. The food was delicious and had a homemade feel to it. The portions were very generous—we could only eat about half of what we ordered! For the price, the quality and portion sizes were excellent. We’ll definitely be ordering again. Highly recommend!

We've twice visited Le Gong for carry out and will continue to order here! Timing is everything, so our routine is to walk in at 4:30 before any dinner rush . It's perfect for us. Within 10 minutes, our order is hot and ready to go. The food is exceptionally good, fresh, tasty, and portions large enough for another meal later!. Sauces are never overly salty like some other restaurants, so this is a big reason for us to return. Beef and chicken dishes are tender and perfectly prepared. Vegetables are fresh and still have a little crunch. We'll be back!

Not at all like the previous Le Gong food. Egg foo young was super disappointing, almost sweet with huge chunks of veggies rather than shredded and only one shrimp per patty. Texture was just off from any other I’ve had. Egg roll was good though. Will be looking for another place next time I want Chinese food. Service was fast, but was hoping for similar food to what used to be there.

I ordered online around 5:30 pm on a Saturday evening. While ordering online it said to pick up at 6:00 pm. I got there just after 6pm and had to wait just over an hour for food. There is NO reason anyone should have to wait over an hour for an online pick up order. Had the website said when I ordered at 5:30 that food wouldn’t be ready until 7, that would have been acceptable as I would have then came at 7 to pick up or just ordered else where. But for it say food will be ready at 6 and I have to spend an hour waiting in their lobby is just completely unacceptable!! I wasn’t the only one there waiting that long - there were other people that had been waiting for just as long. I understand if they get busy and that they may even be short handed but have that disclosed on your website or even better yet set realistic expectations of pick up times on your website. Or don’t accept online orders at all of you aren’t appropriately staffed to handle the increased level of business. Luckily the food for the most part was good, the pork egg roll was delicious. But their inability to serve their online orders timely and the entire process of having to wait over an hour to pick up an online order was infuriating enough that it will be a long time before I even consider ordering from here again.
