Based on enthusiastic feedback from patrons, Lazy Susan has become a "gluten-free haven" for many. A significant portion of their menu is naturally gluten-free, making it an appealing choice for those who need or prefer to avoid gluten. It is important to note, however, that while many items are prepared without gluten-containing ingredients, the restaurant is not a 100% gluten-free environment, so individuals with severe allergies should exercise caution and inquire about cross-contamination protocols.
Customers consistently praise the food at Lazy Susan for being flavorful and served piping hot, indicating a commitment to freshness and quality in their preparation. Among the standout dishes highlighted in reviews is the Orange Chicken, which has been a favorite for at least one repeat customer. The Sesame Chicken and General Tso's Chicken are also noted as delicious options, further showcasing Lazy Susan's ability to deliver satisfying and flavorful renditions of popular Chinese-American dishes in a gluten-free format. Notably, one reviewer mentioned that their non-gluten-free guests were unable to discern that the dishes were prepared without gluten, suggesting that the taste and texture are comparable to traditional versions.
In addition to dine-in experiences, Lazy Susan also offers delivery services, allowing customers to enjoy their gluten-free and regular dishes in the comfort of their own homes. One customer who utilized the delivery service found the Sesame and General Tso's Chicken to be "alright," with a specific mention that the Sesame Chicken had a prominent ginger flavor. This provides a more nuanced perspective on these dishes, suggesting that while generally well-received, there might be variations in flavor profiles that some customers might find particularly noteworthy.
While the reviews provide valuable insights into the gluten-free offerings and the taste of specific dishes, they do not offer extensive details about the restaurant's environment or ambiance for dine-in customers. However, the mention of repeat visits by one customer suggests a positive overall experience that goes beyond just the food itself. The fact that it has become a "new favorite spot in the city" for a gluten-free diner implies a welcoming atmosphere and consistent quality that encourages return patronage.
In terms of services, Lazy Susan primarily functions as a restaurant offering both dine-in and delivery options. The ability to cater effectively to gluten-free dietary needs is a significant service that sets it apart from many other Chinese restaurants. Their willingness to accommodate dietary restrictions while maintaining the flavor and appeal of their dishes is a key feature that resonates with customers.
The standout features of Lazy Susan include its extensive gluten-free menu, the flavorful and freshly prepared food, and the positive reception of popular dishes like Orange Chicken, Sesame Chicken, and General Tso's Chicken by both gluten-free and non-gluten-free diners. A gluten free haven! Most items are GF as-is (please know that the restaurantis not 100% gluten free). I've been here multiple times now; the food is always flavorful and piping hot. My favorite has been the orange chicken, and the sesame and General Tso's is delicious too. My non-GF guests did not know it was GF either! My new favorite spot in the city
I enjoyed the food that I got delivered from here. This place makes an alright Sesame and General Tso’s Chicken, though the Sesame Chicken is very ginger-y
Where’s the beef?!? The food was okay, but they gave me a whole onion and a little amount of beef. Not worth it to me if you are going to cut corners! Overall the service was really great and they checked in throughout my meal, but not an ideal restaurant to dine in because they only have 4 tables. The food was freshly made, but they cut back on the meat and gave me a lot of onion. I didn’t eat half of it because it was onions. Maybe the vegetarian opts are better. I saw another review that they also didn’t give them good meat portions. Avoid and go to another place that gives you a decent portion of protein!
I’m not too sure about this place. Maybe I ordered the wrong dishes. I tried the chowmein and didn’t really enjoy it. I wanted some more bold flavors. The pot stickers were good though!
Really good Orange Chicken. The crispy spring rolls were way overpriced and not good at $9 ~ overall a great spot
