Customer Reviews
Awesome place, there is a ton going on so prepare for an experience. We ended up stopping by here after our first dinner option didn't pan out and I'm glad it didn't. The decor here is awesome with plenty of vintage toys and items to take in. We were seated rather quickly despite it being Saturday night, the place is huge! Server was super friendly and the owner was walking around talking to tables which I love to see. Menu is expensive with plenty of options we settled on the French onion soup and chicken pot pie. Soup was pretty good, very cheesy I would probably try something else next time, but the chicken pot pie was the star of the show. Buttery puff pastry and delectable filling, I dove in and didn't look back until my plate was clean. My girlfriend looked on with a mix of sheer terror and amazement. Be sure to stop by their market on your way out! Will definitely be back
Great experience! It was a little pricey, but the food was worth it. Service can take a little bit, but that's fair, especially when they're busy. The fondue was legit and to die for, though it wasn't really worth adding the charcuterie. The French onion and chili were awesome, though the chili had large chunks of jalapeños that I wasn't a fan of. The french onion needed a tad bit more salt but it tasted great. The burgers were also delicious. The fries were flavorful and crispy. Definitely recommend especially after a long day of winter activities.
I’ve been a loyal customer of Last Chance Cheese for years, and it’s one of my absolute favorite spots. The staff is always welcoming, the atmosphere is wonderful, and most of the menu is consistently excellent. That said, I wanted to share some feedback about a dish that used to be my go-to: the split pea soup. About two years ago, I noticed a change in the recipe. While I’ve tried to enjoy the new version, I’ve found it quite different from the one I fell in love with. The current recipe is much thinner, almost watery, and the texture of the chopped peas feels a bit off. The old recipe had a creamy, hearty consistency that was comforting and satisfying—exactly what one looks for in a great split pea soup. I’ve since switched to the French onion soup, which is wonderful, but I can’t help but miss the original split pea soup. It was one of the reasons I first became such a fan of your restaurant. I understand that recipes evolve, and I appreciate the effort to keep things fresh, but I’d love to see the old creamy split pea soup make a comeback—or at least have it as an occasional special. I know I’m not the only one who would be thrilled! Thank you for considering this feedback, and for continuing to provide such a great dining experience overall. Warm regards, Yanni
Got the goat burger and the knish-which - AMAZING!!! Great flavorful food, def going back. Was super speedy with the order - we had take out. Also great selection of beer, especially local beer - they even have a special made IPA that is specific and exclusive to this store!
This place is very well run. The staff was extremely welcoming, cheerful, helpful and professional. The food was great too. We had fondue, Mac n cheese, and meatloaf. I’d recommend all three! Cute, fun spot.
