About Las Ramadas Mexican Grill & Bar

While Las Ramadas Mexican Grill & Bar is located at 22754 Cypresswood Dr, Spring, TX 77373, USA, let's imagine you're a local Singaporean user curious about Mexican or Tex-Mex cuisine. Although geographically distant, the customer reviews for Las Ramadas provide insights into what this type of restaurant offers. If you're seeking a similar dining experience in Singapore, here's what you can gather.

Las Ramadas Mexican Grill & Bar appears to be a Tex-Mex establishment rather than an authentic Mexican eatery, so if you're looking for traditional Mexican dishes like pozole, it might not be the right fit based on one reviewer's experience. However, for those who enjoy Tex-Mex flavors, there are some positive aspects highlighted.

One recent customer enthusiastically described it as an "Excellent spot" with "food was on point," noting the "extra friendly" service and "delicious" food, along with "ice cold" beer. This suggests a welcoming atmosphere and satisfying dishes. Another reviewer pointed out that the salsa served with chips tasted more like canned tomato sauce, which might be a point to consider if fresh salsa is important to you.

On the positive side, the carne guisada is praised as "deliciously tender," and the taco salad served in a tortilla shell bowl is mostly enjoyable, although the frijoles at the bottom were less impressive for one diner. A "mild avocado salsa" (green sauce) is available, but it seems you need to specifically request it, and it's noted for its subtle flavor without much heat, catering to those who prefer milder tastes.

The decor seems to be a significant highlight, featuring "beautifully carved chairs and a vibrant mural depicting a Mexican landscape," contributing to a pleasant dining environment. Overall, Las Ramadas might be a good option if you enjoy Tex-Mex cuisine with milder flavor profiles, appreciate friendly service, and a visually appealing setting. If you're exploring Mexican or Tex-Mex options in Singapore, consider looking for restaurants with similar positive feedback on dishes like carne guisada or taco salads, a reputation for friendly service, and a comfortable or themed ambiance. Be sure to check their menus beforehand if you have specific dish preferences.

Las Ramadas Mexican Grill and Bar offers a pleasant dining experience with a few notable highlights and a few letdowns. Unfortunately, the salsa served with the chips tasted more like canned tomato sauce than a fresh, zesty dip. I was drawn here by Google Maps claiming they served pozole, but to my disappointment, it wasn’t on the menu. This is more of a Tex-Mex spot rather than an authentic Mexican eatery. The green sauce I saw in the pictures was available but not served unless specifically requested. It was a mild avocado salsa with minimal heat, suitable for those who prefer a subtler flavor. On the positive side, the carne guisada was deliciously tender, and the taco salad in a tortilla shell bowl was mostly enjoyable, although the frijoles at the bottom were less impressive. The decor is a standout feature, with beautifully carved chairs and a vibrant mural depicting a Mexican landscape. This restaurant seems best suited for those who prefer milder flavors. I give it 4.5 stars overall. However, I’m deducting a star from Google for misleading information about the pozole.

Stay far away from this place. Food was horrible I ordered Green beef enchiladas and the Tortilla was raw under the flavorless, waterd down green sauce. The "refried " beans were so watery they seemed blended straight from a can. The spanish rice had carrots in it and was so bland. My wife ordered a Flank steak that tasted and had the texture of it been frozen for weeks and had no seasoning but light salt and pepper. The cheese on her beens was nothing short of plastic government cheese. Please do not waste your time and money we walked out of there ASAP.
