About Laojiuguan

Laojiuguan is a Chinese restaurant situated at 5207 7th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11220, USA. While no phone number is provided in the available information, the address indicates its location for local users.

Recent customer feedback reveals significant issues with service and pricing consistency at Laojiuguan. One customer shared a detailed negative experience involving the price of pig bone seaweed soup. Initially, they were charged $12 for two quarts when ordering in person after seeing a higher price on a delivery app. However, on a subsequent visit, a different front desk staff quoted $18 for the same order, refusing to honor the $12 price from two days prior and accusing the customer of lying. Even after the boss lady intervened, the price was only reduced to $14. The customer felt the staff was rude and dismissive, ultimately vowing never to return to the restaurant.

Another review simply consisted of a nauseated face emoji ("🤢"), suggesting a highly negative experience, though without specific details about the food or service.

Based on this limited recent feedback, potential customers should be aware of reported inconsistencies in pricing and negative experiences with customer service at Laojiuguan.

I would rate this place 0 stars if I could. I came here two days ago after work to get some pig bone soup instead of ordering it online for delivery. I showed the front desk that I ordered on the delivery app before and then she was trying to figure out how much it was. She was about to call the boss lady but then the boss lady walked in. The boss lady said that the soup is more expensive on the delivery app and that since I’m in person it would be cheaper so they went with 12$ for two quarts of pig bone seaweed soup. I was happy with the price. Today I ordered through phone call and went back there and it was a different front desk lady. She said it would be 18$ for 2 quarts of the pig bone soup but I told her I came here 2 days ago and it would was 12$. She said that I was lying and gave me attitude then she called the boss lady. Then she wanted to charge me 14$ but I said I literally came here 2 days ago and it was 12$. She said there’s no way 2 quarts of soup is 12$. I said it’s literally all bones that fill up the quarts. She gave me an attitude and called me big sis and said I’m joking right. She was like twice my age. Anyways she basically handed me my food rudely and walked away. I’m never coming back to this place ever again.

I read the comments and it was said more than once that the menu was from four years ago. Why isn't the menu updated because no one eats it? If you don't update it, you should tell the customers. A dozen of them are all old menus that mislead the tip. No wonder no customer has any. The old menu says three dishes and one soup are more than 19 yuan. After ordering, they didn't tell the customers the price. We thought it was still the old price. Afterwards, we bought three dishes, one soup and a taro paste for 31 yuan? It’s more expensive than a la carte. No wonder there’s no business. When I asked the clerk, he didn’t know anything. What kind of broken taro paste costs 6 yuan a serving? Why don't you grab it? Forget it if you put it on your own plate. The supermarket plastic boxes make money and are served to customers directly. There is still water on the steamed taro paste. I won't come again. It's a garbage place. I don't want to give it a star.

I ordered three dishes and one soup, and asked for an additional three yuan for yellow croaker. I didn’t tell the customer in advance, and just calculated the money. I dare you to say how much it is. The dishes were very oily. I ordered an extra portion of fried rice noodles, which was full of sand. Isn’t it? Washing dishes? I didn’t even mention that the menu had been increased. I took the old menu and added money to the price as you pleased. It was also said that it was from four years before the epidemic and the prices had gone up. Yes, they had all gone up. If the menu had not been changed for four years, the prices would also have to be changed. Bar! The service is even better. I seem impatient. The food is so full and heavy. Do you think it’s too troublesome to get a bag or do you want to save money and not give up the bag? Terrible service, terrible food, will not go there again
