Lao Pot

My brother and I went this past weekend and our waitress Yan was so sweet. To explain how the ordering goes and if we had questions she doesn't hesitate to answer any questions that we had. This is the first time I had a Hot pot that wasn't the self-heating kind. And I loved it. Just remember when you go order your food and batches don't do like my brother and I did and order everything all at once because granite we ate the majority of everything we had but there was still some food and vegetables up on the table. They give you very healthy portions especially of the meat. I tried squid for the first time roasted barbecued rather to chewy for me but my brother loved it and said it was really good. We will likely be back here again the next time we're on that side of town.

I recently had a delightful experience at Loa Pot, tucked away in Madison Heights, Michigan. This restaurant boasts a diverse menu packed with flavorful and okay options, attentive service, and an inviting atmosphere. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by wonderful aromas and noticed the impressive stove tops at each table, allowing guests to cook their pots to perfection. While it leans toward the pricier side, the overall experience certainly justified the cost in most ways. Food: The quality of the food was commendable, though some dishes were just average. Nevertheless, I appreciated the extensive selection and the freshness of each ingredient. The menu itself was a bit overwhelming at first, but our server was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the choices. Speaking of service, it was outstanding! Our server exhibited remarkable patience, ensuring we felt comfortable while selecting our meals. The water glasses never went empty, and the staff was very accommodating throughout our visit. The atmosphere of Loa Pot truly captivated me. The walls were adorned with vibrant decor, adding to the restaurant’s charm, and the entire space was impeccably clean. It was a refreshing blend of beauty and cultural elements. Overall, my experience at Loa Pot was exceptional. It's a fantastic spot for those looking to enjoy a meal in a social setting while savoring fresh food!

Roughly two months before coming here, my wife found this place on Instagram. We were so excited about all-you-can-eat hotpot that we immediately planned when we could go here with friends! The time finally came! The interior is modern and Korean-themed, with Korean and Chinese writing in some of the artwork. It also was very clean, I didn't see any dirt or crumbs laying around anywhere. Our waitress was Hua. She was wonderful! At first she was confused by my autistic mannerisms, but I grew on her really quickly 😂 She was very kind and helpful, as we were confused at first on how to order as we'd never ordered quite like this before, but then we were like, "Oh this isn't that hard." The amount of meats, vegetables, dumplings and so forth that you can chose from is incredible, almost overwhelming! When the time came, I was so excited!!! It was an impressive spread! Once you get your little burner going and your hot pot is hot, you're in for a treat! My wife and I both got the house special base, and it was absolutely delicious! The meats we got were chicken, sliced beef and spicy sliced beef, with an assortment of vegetables, dumplings, donut sticks, and those squid roll ups. The only thing that I thought was kind of meh was the spicy sliced beef, everything else was delicious! The squid roll up things were surprisingly good, the dumplings were plain awesome and one of my favorite things! If you like authentic Asian food you must come here! I'd love to return and try more of the meats 👍🏻

The ladies serving are very kind and the atmosphere is cutesy. Reasonably priced and good value for money. The portion size for the hotpot is very manageable. Not a very large selection of food as the phrase 'all you can eat' may suggest, but they are healthy and wholesome. Many different sauces available, although only 1 or 2 are good everytime, others are more of a hit-or-miss.

The atmosphere was comfortable and we blended right in with the diverse crowd the night my family decided to treat me to dinner. No odd looks or rude employees, our server Tina was very helpful and taught me how to utilize the utensils, checked on us and was patient the entire time. EXCELLENT SERVICE, I tipped beyond the suggestion. The food I absolutely adored, it's very satisfying and full of unique flavor!! can't wait to come again. 😊
