About Land of Plenty
Land of Plenty, located at 204 E 58th St in New York City, is a Chinese Restaurant specializing in authentic Sichuan cuisine. As a provider in the Chinese Restaurant category, Land of Plenty aims to bring the bold and flavorful dishes of the Sichuan region to its customers.
Customer experiences with Land of Plenty appear to be varied. One recent review noted that while the service was acceptable, two out of three dishes ordered were bland. Specifically, the stir-fried vegetables with tofu were criticized for lacking seasoning, tasting old, and having a mushy smell, especially considering the price. However, this reviewer did find the trio vegetables with garlic sauce to be satisfactory and, based on their experience, does not plan to return due to the availability of other Sichuan restaurants in NYC.
In contrast, another customer had a positive experience, highlighting the authentic Sichuan flavors and reasonable prices for the quality of food. This reviewer also praised the friendly and attentive waiter and strongly recommended trying the unique desserts as a perfect end to the meal. They highly recommend Land of Plenty for those craving genuine Sichuan flavors.
The environment, based on one review, had only the front section lit during a less crowded afternoon, which was understandable. This suggests a casual ambiance that may adjust based on the time and customer volume.
While one review mentions a dine-in experience, it's reasonable to infer that as a Chinese Restaurant, Land of Plenty likely offers takeout and possibly delivery services. For inquiries about their services or to place an order, you can contact them at (212) 308-8788 or +1 212-308-8788.
Currently, no specific promotional information is available. However, the contrasting reviews suggest that while some customers find the cuisine authentic and flavorful, others have experienced inconsistencies in food quality. Potential customers may want to consider these recent experiences when deciding to dine in or order from Land of Plenty.

Customer Reviews
I really wanted to enjoy the food, but unfortunately, 2 out of the 3 dishes we ordered were quite bland. The stir-fried vegetables with tofu, which cost nearly $18 without any meat, lacked seasoning, and the ingredients tasted old and had a mushy smell. We expected better at that price point. The trio vegetables with garlic sauce was the only dish we liked. The service was okay—nothing wrong with our server. Also, only the front section of the restaurant was lit, which is understandable since it was not a crowded afternoon. Based on this experience, we do not plan to return, especially with so many other Sichuan restaurants in NYC offering better-tasting food.
Land of Plenty offers authentic Sichuan cuisine with bold, flavorful dishes. The waiter was friendly and attentive, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food. Don’t miss their desserts—they’re unique and a perfect way to end your meal. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving genuine Sichuan flavors!
Our favorite GO TO for Chinese food in the city. The food is consistently tasty and the service is always fast. Price is very reasonable and we love the friendly professional people who make this restaurant exceptional! Thank you! 💎
One of the best places for lunch especially if you're in a hurry and need to head back to work. Land of Plenty doesn't mess around. You're in and out! With that being said, the food is always solid. Get yourself some chow fun and, well, have fun. 🥢
Love this place for the lunch specials. Some of the best stuff are the szecuan dishes like mapo tofu, dried string beans, etc. The pork belly with with water chestnuts is a dinner favorite. The smoked duck fried rice is great too. One review said the food is microwaved, heck no. They're fast and well prepared. for a busy lunch. Good service always.
