To provide a comprehensive and objective overview, it's essential to consider the experiences shared by actual customers. Recent reviews offer valuable insights into the food, service, and environment at Lagoon Chinese Restaurant.

One customer described Lagoon Chinese Restaurant as a "great place" with "great foods" and "good service." However, this reviewer also mentioned a specific incident where they found a short hair on their wife's 'oyster sauce chicken on cake noodle' dish upon its arrival at the table. The customer noted that they quickly removed the hair before their wife noticed, not wanting to spoil their lunch. While this incident is a concern regarding food hygiene, the reviewer's overall positive sentiment about the place, food, and service suggests that this might have been an isolated issue.

Another customer had a largely positive experience, describing the food as "amazing" and "full of flavors." They also praised the "great" and "really quick" service. The environment was noted to be "clean and nice." This reviewer did mention a minor inconvenience of water dripping from the AC, but it did not significantly detract from their overall positive impression. They specifically recommended several dishes, including the minute chicken, gaugee, chow fun noodles, and salt and pepper pork, highlighting that they were served "hot and ready to eat." This customer also commented on the good price, mentioning a total bill of $237 (including tip) for a group of 9-10 people, with leftovers to take home, indicating generous portion sizes and good value for money.

Great place, foods are great. Good service. *just one thing* : Found a short hair on my wife's 'oyster sauce chicken on cake noodle' order as soon as the waitress set it down on the table. But i quickly removed the hair before my wife saw it. Didn't want it to ruin our lunch.

The food was amazing! Full of flavors, the service was great, they serve really quick. The environment is clean and nice. However water from the AC was dripping down a little on us. But overall, everything else was really good. I will still come back. I highly recommend the minute chicken, gaugee, chow fun noddles, salt and pepper pork. It’s all serve hot and ready to eat. Price is good! $237 (tip already included) for 9-10 people and we still got leftovers to take over.

This my first time here, what I’ve been craving (Ono for) Is Kau Yuk and some kind of Bitter melon dish. That’s why I’m here! They didn’t disappoint with the Kau yuk it was very savory and the pork belly is so tender and gelatinous. I love that! The waitress recommended a chow fun with pork and bitter melon with a saucy black bean sauce and I definitely had to order half a dozen crispy crunchy Gau Gee. What I enjoyed most is they have hot mustard and shoyu at the table. My belly is happy and satisfied. Plus, I have leftovers for a couple of days and I have plans for the Kau yuk tomorrow with either I’ll make egg foo young or just a couple sunny side eggs? That’s gonna be a good lunch. This restaurant was Ultra busy for dinner. My only issue was trying to find parking because they share parking with a hotel they’re part of. The staff is friendly and they made me comfortable with the yelling out pick orders at the front. The yelling orders in a Chinese accent is so SEXY! I actually had a fun time and I’m a new fan of bitter melon with pork chow fun noodle! I’ll be back there I wanna try the oyster sauce chicken and the oxtail soup.

We had dinner here while staying at the Pacific Marina Inn near Honolulu airport. The place was nice, crowded, and busy with dine-in and takeout customers. We were seated quickly and the server was helpful in recommending dishes. We ended up ordering steamed basa fillet fish cooked with ginger and green onion, beef noodles (look fun rice noodles made in the restaurant), and some red bean sesame balls for dessert. Both dishes were very tasty, well seasoned, but not oily or salty. The sesame balls were freshly made and yummy. We were lucky to have run into this hidden gem of a Chinese restaurant right next to an airport hotel.

The proverbial hole-in-the-wall that is worth the visit! The parking lot is small and you have to find street parking. A lot of people getting food there in the afternoon and tables of older ladies eating in the late morning Saturday. The beef chow fun, char siu, roast pork, and water spinach (young choi with garlic sauce) was awesome. This is my new go-to place for Chinese Food! Definitely make the stop the next time I am in town. Highly recommended!
