About Lady Chow Kitchen

Lady Chow Kitchen is a Chinese restaurant located in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn, with a second location in Manhattan. They offer a menu of Chinese cuisine to the local community. Recent customer reviews present mixed opinions on the dining experience.

One reviewer described their order, which included hot and sour soup, vegetable spring rolls, pork soup dumplings, seafood pan-fried noodles, shrimp and lobster sauce, and fish filet congee. This customer found the hot and sour soup to lack taste and spice and noted it was only available in a pint size. The vegetable spring rolls were described as plain without the usual crunch. The pork soup dumplings were small with minimal filling. While the seafood pan-fried noodles had a good portion of noodles, the accompanying seafood was minimal and lacked flavor. The shrimp and lobster sauce was watery with little taste, too many peas, and small shrimp. The fish filet congee was a rice porridge with pieces of fish. Overall, this reviewer found the food to be average in taste and flavor, with prices considered higher than other restaurants offering similar dishes.

In contrast, another customer had a highly positive experience, praising the food as "amazing" and the owners as "such nice." This reviewer felt that the quality of the food reflected the care taken in its preparation and intends to make Lady Chow Kitchen a regular dining choice for their family, despite its location in Brooklyn Chinatown.

Given the varied feedback, potential customers may want to consider these different experiences when deciding to dine at Lady Chow Kitchen.

The restaurant is located in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn. They prepare Chinese cuisine. An additional location is located in Manhattan. I ordered the hot and sour soup. It lacked taste and spice. The soup is only available in a pintsized container. The vegetable spring rolls had four to the order. They were plain and not with the usual crunch. The pork soup dumplings were six to the order and steamed. The dumplings were small and had little filling. The seafood pan fried noodles had a nice amount of noodles but the separate container of seafood was minimal with little taste. The shrimp and lobster sauce was in a watery sauce with little taste, too many peas and small shrimp. The fish filet congee was in a rice porridge with pieces of fish. The food was average in taste and flavor with prices higher than other restaurants with similar food.

Amazing food and such nice owners! In the heart of Brooklyn Chinatown, their food still stands out as you tell how much they care about the food they are putting out. Will make this a new staple for me and my family

This place is amazing, I loved going to their location on Hester street and now it’s even better cause I don’t have to leave Bk. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and the prices are great for the portion size.

What a gem! I had an amazing experience here. The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful. I tried the Pork Chop Peking Style (京都猪扒), and it was absolutely phenomenal! The pork chop was perfectly crispy on the outside, tender inside, and coated with a rich, tangy sauce that had just the right balance of sweetness and savory depth. Easily one of the best versions of this dish I’ve had! The 陈村粉 was another highlight—silky, soft, and full of authentic flavor. And the lunch special is such a great deal—generous portions, fresh ingredients, and well worth it. The staff were friendly and welcoming. One of the servers seemed new, but they were trying their best, and the rest of the team was very helpful.

This is a newly opened restaurant. I expect that when newly opened, restaurants are as good as they will ever get. Unfortunately, the food here is mediocre and way more expensive than comparable restaurants. I got the "beef belly" with tofu, fried pork, and special noodles. The "beef belly" was just beef, no beef belly. It was on a LARGE bed of lettuce that took up about 1/4 of the container. The takeout container was also ridiculously undersized, like a mini version of the traditional container. The fried pork was fine, well fried, but not a lot of meat. The "special" noodles was chow fun with onions. Literally. For $20! And it had no flavor. Please support restaurants that provide good food at good prices, like Carnation restaurant just down the street or Duck Wong which is across from this one.
