About Kung Fu Tea

Kung Fu Tea, located at 3102 SW 34th St in Gainesville, Florida, is a cafe that, while categorized on the platform as a Chinese Restaurant, is known for its diverse offerings, particularly its extensive selection of boba and other beverages. Customer reviews also indicate they serve food items like ramen and crab rangoons.

Based on customer feedback, Kung Fu Tea is a popular spot for boba. The Brown Sugar Boba is frequently mentioned as a go-to drink, often described as perfect. While one reviewer noted a temporary issue with the boba texture due to a distributor change, there is optimism that this has been resolved. Another customer, with USese boba standards, found the boba to lack freshness but appreciated the service quality.

Beyond beverages, Kung Fu Tea also offers food. One reviewer tried the Tonkotsu Ramen and Crab Rangoons. They found the ramen broth decent and the portion filling, though it lacked the richness of a slow-simmered broth, and the noodles weren't as firm as fresh ramen. The toppings, including tender pork, green onions, and an egg, were considered satisfying, although the pork wasn't melt-in-your-mouth chashu. The reviewer suggested the ramen is a convenient option if already at Kung Fu Tea but recommended dedicated ramen spots for a richer experience. The Crab Rangoons were described as crispy with a good creamy and savory filling.

Overall, Kung Fu Tea appears to be a favored local spot for boba and also offers a selection of food items like ramen and crab rangoons. I usually come to Kung Fu Tea for boba, and their Brown Sugar Boba is my go-to--it's always perfect! There was one time the texture was off, but they mentioned switching distributors, so I hope that's been fixed. I haven't ordered it in a few months, but I'm looking forward to trying it again. This time, I was hungry, and my usual ramen spot was closed, so I decided to try their food. I got it to go since they were about to close in an hour. I got the Tonkotsu Ramen and Crab Rangoons. The ramen had a decent broth, and the portion was filling. The broth was creamy but lacked the deep, slow-simmered richness you'd expect. The noodles had a good texture but weren't as firm and chewy as fresh ramen should be. The toppings--tender pork, green onions, and an egg--were satisfying. I wish the pork was as melt-in-your-mouth as proper chashu. It's a convenient option if you're already there, but for a truly rich tonkotsu experience, I'd go elsewhere. The Crab Rangoons were crispy and had a nice balance of creamy and savory filling. Overall, Kung Fu Tea is still my favorite spot for boba, and I'm excited to come back to see if the consistency has improved!

I ordered two drinks, one of which was a black tea with boba. By Taiwanese standards, the boba was not up to par, as it appeared to lack freshness. However, I appreciated the quality of the service

I finally visited Kung Fu Tea and I loved it! 🧋 The menu is massive and they have a little bit of everything: milk tea, green tea, black tea, lattes, smoothies, slushes, and more. You can add boba or tapioca, jelly, pudding, popping boba, red beans and lots of other toppings to your drink too. Hospitality was good, the person that took my order was friendly. I ordered the Mango Green Tea w/Mango Jelly + Oreo Wow Milk Strike w/Boba. Yes I ordered two drinks lol. I ordered the Mango Green Tea at first and it was SO good. Then I was like, I need another drink for the road because I don't live anywhere nearby. So yeah, you've got to check out Kung Fu Tea if you're a fan of boba tea like me! 🥰

Very good tapioca, soft and chewy! Got the matcha milk tea with normal tapioca. The service was good and everyone was kind. The atmosphere was chill and lofi. Love it! We got our drinks and went to the kohls nearby. Very fun and chill experience

Amazing 5 star place in my opinion. It is probably the best boba tea I've had and I love the different taste that's added. It gives it extra flavor over all. Definitely recommend 5 star place
