About Kung Fu Steamer

Welcome to Kung Fu Steamer, a Chinese restaurant located at 6415 11th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11219, USA. As a "mom and pop" establishment, Kung Fu Steamer strives to provide diners with the best quality Chinese food possible. The main chef personally prepares all the dishes, which are described by some as incredibly delicious and authentic.

One of the notable features of Kung Fu Steamer is its affordability compared to other restaurants in the area. For example, a customer highlighted the double-cooked pork over rice, priced at $7.50, noting its delicious sweet and savory sauce and generous portion size. The waitress is also mentioned as being very friendly and attentive, readily fulfilling customer requests.

However, another customer had a different experience during a lunch visit. They ordered the "chicken and mushroom lotus leaf steamer" and "cured meat lotus leaf steamer," which came with a complimentary house soup described as flavorful but potentially high in MSG or salt. The food itself was considered mediocre, lacking any special qualities that would encourage a repeat order. A concern was raised about small, shattered bones found in the chicken. Additionally, drinks were perceived as overpriced. The service style was noted as semi-cafeteria style, where customers order and pay at the counter first, seat themselves, and then have their food brought to them. Doggy bags are available with containers located near the register.

Overall, Kung Fu Steamer appears to be a restaurant that offers authentic Chinese cuisine at relatively affordable prices, with some customers praising the delicious food and friendly service. However, it's worth noting that experiences can vary, with one recent review describing the food as mediocre and highlighting a semi-cafeteria service style.

This mom and pop restaurant strives to provide the best quality Chinese food possible for its diners! The main chef personally cooks all the dishes and they're all incredibly delicious and authentic! What makes it even better? It's relatively cheap compare to other restaurants around! For example, a double cooked pork over rice was $7.50; not only was it incredibly delicious with its sweet and savory sauce, but it was a hefty portion too! The waitress is also very friendly and all you have to do is ask for whatever you need and she will bring it to you in seconds. I highly recommend this place and for you to try their delicious and expansive menu. Thank you for reading and good luck! (:

Cozy little restaurant. Came here for lunch and ordered "chicken and mushroom lotus leaf steamer" and "cured meat lotus leaf steamer." Dishes came with free house soup which was very flavorful; questionable amount of MSG/salt in there. The food was mediocre. There was nothing special or good about the food that would warrant me to order again. The chicken had a lot of small shattered bones in between bites; about the size of half a grain of rice. Drinks were overpriced so it was not ordered. Although the establishment has the look and feel of a service restaurant, it's actually semi cafeteria style. Menu items are ordered and paid for first at the counter. You seat yourself and food is then brought to you when ready. Doggy bag available, containers are next to register counter. Help yourself.

Pop chicken is awful. Too dry. And the evil coffee is just regular coffee for 4dollar.

Hidden gem. Tasty and healthy dishes. My favor is the garlic shrimp steamer and braised pork steamer, both are excellent in taste and big in portion. Also got a free drink from their promo, home brewed iced tea. Refreshing.
