About Kung Fu Restaurant

Kung Fu Restaurant, situated at 33 N Main St in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, is a Chinese restaurant offering a variety of dishes. According to customer feedback, one of the highlights is their Shanghai shaomai, which is reportedly made in-house, setting it apart from many other Chinese restaurants that serve frozen appetizers. Other dishes that have been well-received include the roasted duck, griddled cooked tofu, and poached sliced beef in hot chili oil, with one reviewer stating they enjoyed everything ordered and intended to return to try more of the menu.

However, not all feedback has been entirely positive. One customer noted that the ribs with cumin are served as bite-sized pieces but still contain bones, which may require caution when eating. Another review mentioned that the pork fried rice, priced at over $15, contained more corn and peas than pork. On a positive note, the scallion pancakes were described as good.

One customer expressed disappointment with their overall experience, stating that it was "definitely not worth the wait or the money" and that they would discard the leftovers. This suggests that while some dishes may be commendable, the overall value and experience might vary.

If you are in the Doylestown area and looking to try Kung Fu Restaurant, particularly their made-in-house Shanghai shaomai or other mentioned specialties like roasted duck and poached sliced beef, it might be worth a visit. However, it is advisable to be aware of the mixed feedback regarding certain dishes and the overall value proposition. A friend recommended this place, and I’m glad I came. The Shanghai shaomai wowed me. It’s made in-house, unlike the 99% of Chinese restaurants out there serving frozen appetizers. We also ordered roasted duck, griddled cooked tofu, and poached sliced beef in hot chili oil. We liked everything and will go back to try more.

The ribs with cumin come as bite size pieces but beware of the fact the bone is still there. Pork fried rice has more corn and pees than pork for over $15. Scallion pancakes were good. Definitely not worth the wait or the money. Leftovers will get thrown away instead of having it tomorrow.

I came here with my 16 children (I was in Moscow a little to long back a decade), and they loved the squirming meat that tried escaping! The day wait was a little long though. The weird thing is when I went up to ask for cat they didn't run out the door to grab one fresh across the street! Not as authentic as I was hoping. Then some guy named Steven M. ran in and took my 2nd favorite kid! The staff didn't do anything to help! (Pretty authentic there) The food was good though but I was hoping for some cat. 🙁

Highly recommend the Singapore Rice Noodles! My fiance ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and really enjoyed his meal. Friendly service and the place was cute and clean.

Im always waiting for my food here… this time i made sure to give them plenty of time and always a wait. I give them my name and number, and wait for 15 more minutes in the store. What gets me is that my order already cane out, but no one alerted me, so the last like 7-8 minutes of my wait was completly unnecessary.
