About Kung Fu Noodle House

Welcome to Kung Fu Noodle House, a Chinese restaurant located at 31151 Dequindre Rd, Madison Heights, MI 48071, USA. If you're a local in the Madison Heights area seeking an authentic dim sum experience and tasty noodle dishes, Kung Fu Noodle House is a highly recommended spot. You can reach them at (586) 722-7992 or their mobile number +1 586-722-7992.

Kung Fu Noodle House offers a modest interior where you might experience the lively atmosphere of a family-run establishment. This bustling environment is often seen as a sign of authentic and delicious food. One reviewer, not typically a tea drinker, was particularly impressed by the tea served at the restaurant.

A major highlight of Kung Fu Noodle House is their authentic dim sum. Customers familiar with dim sum have praised it as a truly genuine experience. The shrimp dim sum dishes, in particular, have been described as wonderful. The traditional dim sum service includes carts that frequently circulate with a variety of dishes.

The restaurant tends to get busy on weekends between noon and 1:30 pm, and it is noted that the space is not very large. However, the bathrooms are reported to be clean. The food is generally considered good and not overly oily, although some dishes are traditionally prepared with more oil. The seasoning is described as not heavy, allowing diners to adjust the flavor to their preference using the soy sauce and chili oil available on the tables. Portions are consistently mentioned as very generous.

In addition to the dim sum carts, Kung Fu Noodle House also has a physical menu for ordering family-style dishes, although you may need to ask for it specifically. The servers primarily speak English, though their fluency may vary, so patience and respectful communication are appreciated. For those who speak Mandarin or Cantonese, communication may be faster. If you have specific dim sum preferences, showing photos can be helpful, allowing the kitchen to prepare them if they are not currently on the carts.

While the overall experience is highly positive (rated 4.67/5 by one reviewer), some minor points for improvement include a desire for more sweet pastry options on the dim sum carts, the occasional sticky table, and the absence of spoons with the utensils.

Overall, Kung Fu Noodle House offers a flavorful and authentic dim sum experience with generous portions and friendly service. If you're in the area and craving genuine dim sum, it's definitely a place to consider, keeping in mind its popularity during weekend lunch hours.

4.67/5 When I walked into Kung Fu Noodle House for dinner, I saw a modest interior and heard that it was operated by a bickering family. I knew the food was going to be delicious. Then I started to drink the tea and I was blown away by how good it was. I'm not even a tea drinker! All the shrimp dim sum dishes that I had were as wonderful as I expected. Please give this business your support.

If you're familiar with dim sum or want to have an authentic experience, then this place is definitely the place to go! They start to get really busy on the weekend from noon to 1:30pm. It's not a big place; the bathrooms are clean. The food was good, not oily (however, certain type of dishes are meant to be oily), not heavily seasoned (you can use the soy sauce & chili oil on the table to adjust the flavor), very generous portion, and the carts go around frequently. I noticed they also have a physical menu to order family style dishes, but you'd definitely have to ask for it. The servers all speak English, though not fluent, so please be respectful and patient. If you speak mandarin or cantonese, then they definitely can respond alot faster. If you know what you like in dim sum, showing photos definitely help, so they can prepare it for you in the kitchen if they're not on the cart. I only took a star off because i wished there were more "sweet" options on the pastry cart, the table was kind of sticky, and it would be helpful to include a spoon with the utensils!

Dim Sum is one of those foods that’s just fun because of the experience itself…watching the carts go by. While the food still captures that, the experience here isn’t the same…it’s order ala carte via menu. it’s a smallish restaurant for Dim Sum. Still good. The items here are significantly larger in size. Service is quite prompt & friendly. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. Maybe they should invest in some renno work as the decor is very spartan & somewhat on the eco side, e.g., faux brick wallpaper that looks faux. Don’t let that dissuade you the food is still good. Thumbs up. Good value. Taste is closer to US Inpired Chinese than authentic.

New management took over 2 months ago, this is now a dimsum restaurant. And they're really good! I've been to a few dimsum restaurants in Michigan and the food is usually luke warm when served but not this place! It is served from the cart but I love that it all comes out hot! They didnt have a menu when I was there, and not everyone there spoke English. Wasn't a problem for me as I knew what I wanted and if it wasn't on the cart, I was still able to have the cart lady placed an order with the kitchen. If you're unfamiliar with dimsum, try asking for the manager, he speaks English and could help you. Overall, their dimsum is really good! The har gao has fresh shrimp and was huge! The carrot cake was a favourite and even the braised pork ribs were perfect and not too oily. I can attest the flavour here is authentic! This place does get busy because everyone somehow knows how good it is, so try to come early!

A must go to place!!! The noodle soup is super authentic and the side dishes are also very tasty. If you want to try some really spicy and fresh dishes, don’t miss the cold spicy chicken. The dining service is great. They provide all the flavors you need for the dishes. I am amazed by the portion of the pork intestines that they put in the noodle. Highly recommend this restaurant.
