About Kung Fu Dim Sum

Welcome to Kung Fu Dim Sum, a Chinese restaurant located at 4370 Thornton Ave in Fremont, California. As a valued member of the local Chinese Restaurant category, Kung Fu Dim Sum has garnered attention for its focus on providing delicious dim sum at reasonable prices. Situated in Fremont, a diverse and bustling city within the Bay Area, it serves as a go-to spot for those seeking flavorful and satisfying Chinese cuisine.

According to enthusiastic customer reviews, Kung Fu Dim Sum lives up to its promise of serving delectable food. One reviewer expressed their strong satisfaction with multiple exclamation points, stating, "Food is delicious!!!!!!!!!!" They also mentioned bringing their boyfriend to the restaurant, who enjoyed everything they ordered, echoing the positive sentiment. This initial feedback strongly suggests that the quality of the food is a primary draw for patrons of Kung Fu Dim Sum.

The same reviewer noted the cozy and intimate setting of the restaurant, mentioning that there are "only 8 tables." This indicates that Kung Fu Dim Sum is a smaller establishment, which could contribute to a more personal atmosphere but might also lead to waiting times during peak hours. The reviewer experienced a "20 mins" wait for their food, but they reiterated that the wait was justified by the deliciousness of the dishes, awarding the food a full 5-star rating. They also mentioned a slight delay in receiving the bill, suggesting that service might be a bit stretched at times due to the size and potentially limited staff.

Another local customer described Kung Fu Dim Sum as their regular "go to dim sum spot nearby our house." They positioned it as a more casual and affordable alternative to establishments like HL Peninsula or Sifu Wong, which they characterized as offering a "more fancy experience." This highlights Kung Fu Dim Sum's appeal for those seeking high-quality dim sum without the higher price point often associated with more upscale venues. The reviewer specifically praised Kung Fu Dim Sum for having "each dish" be delicious and the prices as "reasonable," noting that they ordered four dishes for less than $34, showcasing the affordability.

This regular customer also commended the service, stating it is "great" despite the restaurant being a "smaller place" with potentially fewer employees. This suggests that the staff at Kung Fu Dim Sum are efficient and attentive, even with the constraints of a smaller operation. Furthermore, they shared their positive experience with delivery service, noting that "the quality is just as good still" when ordering out. This expands the accessibility of Kung Fu Dim Sum's offerings to those who prefer to enjoy their meals at home, and the consistent quality across dine-in and delivery is a significant advantage.

The regular customer also provided a valuable list of their "Favorites" on the menu: "Golden sands seafood roll (deep fried shrimp wrapped in rice roll) SO GOOD!!", "golden shrimp: deep fried shrimp ball", "sui Mai mushroom and pork", and "fried pork ball." These specific recommendations offer excellent guidance for first-time visitors or those looking to try popular dishes. The enthusiastic description of the Golden Sands Seafood Roll ("SO GOOD!!") particularly stands out, indicating a must-try item.

Conversely, the reviewer also listed a couple of "Least" favorite items: "custard bun" and "beef roll." This honest feedback can be helpful for customers with specific preferences or those looking to avoid dishes that might not be as highly regarded by some patrons. It's important to note that taste is subjective, but these insights provide a balanced perspective on the menu.

Regarding the environment, the review mentioning "only 8 tables" paints a picture of a small and intimate setting. While this can contribute to a cozy atmosphere, it also implies limited seating capacity, potentially leading to waiting times, as experienced by one customer. The decor is not explicitly described, but the focus on delicious food at reasonable prices suggests a more casual and functional ambiance rather than elaborate decorations.

In terms of services, Kung Fu Dim Sum offers both dine-in and delivery options, catering to different customer preferences. The positive feedback on the delivery quality indicates a commitment to maintaining food standards even when it's enjoyed off-premises. The acceptance of phone orders via (510) 894-1386 and +1 510-894-1386 likely facilitates easy ordering for both takeout and delivery. While there was a mention of a slight delay in receiving the bill for one dine-in customer, the overall service was praised as "great," suggesting that the staff is attentive and efficient despite the restaurant's size.

Features of Kung Fu Dim Sum include its focus on providing delicious dim sum at affordable prices, making it a popular choice for those seeking value. The highly recommended "Golden sands seafood roll," "golden shrimp," "sui Mai mushroom and pork," and "fried pork ball" stand out as signature dishes. The availability of both dine-in (with limited seating) and delivery services enhances its accessibility for local users. The positive feedback from a regular customer underscores its consistent quality and appeal.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information mentioned in the provided reviews. Local users interested in any special offers or discounts are advised to contact Kung Fu Dim Sum directly via phone.

In conclusion, Kung Fu Dim Sum in Fremont offers a compelling option for those seeking tasty and reasonably priced dim sum. Its small size contributes to a cozy atmosphere, but may result in waiting times. The consistently delicious food, particularly the highly recommended favorites, coupled with great service and the availability of delivery, make it a popular choice among locals. While seating is limited, the positive reviews and affordable prices position Kung Fu Dim Sum as a worthwhile destination for dim sum enthusiasts in the Fremont area.

Our go to dim sum spot nearby our house. We usually like going to HL peninsula or Sifu Wong which are more of a fancy experience. I love Kung Fu because each dish is delicious and the price is reasonable. We ordered 4 dishes for less than $34. The service is great too even though there aren't many employees and a smaller place. We have ordered delivery and the quality is just as good still. We are now regulars! Favorites: - Golden sands seafood roll (deep fried shrimp wrapped in rice roll) SO GOOD!! - golden shrimp: deep fried shrimp ball - sui Mai mushroom and pork - fried pork ball Least: - custard bun - beef roll

We went here on a friend’s recommendation. The restaurant is in the shopping center next to the post office, on the corner of Thornton and Dusterberry. The restaurant is a small place with only a few tables with a total seating capacity of 15-18. The menu is online only (scan the QR code at the table) so if you want an overview then you’ll need to review the menus in the window before coming in. We ordered a lot of your standard dim sum dishes (har gow, shiu mai, chicken feet, etc.). After a few minutes, they were brought out to our table. The flavors of the dishes were fairly standard but you can definitely taste the freshness. Overall, we enjoyed the food and the service. Will certainly be back!

We just arrived from New York and woke up early craving dim sum. This was the only place open (major plus opening at 7 am!) and we took a chance. My family is Cantonese and we eat dim sum very often, and I was super pleased by this place. Everything was well cooked, seasoned, and overall just yummy. The guy there is also super nice. They were playing Cantonese music. Overall, highly recommend!
