This restaurant truly stands out with its generous portion sizes; we always leave feeling completely satisfied after our meals. During our latest visit, we ordered Mala Tang and Salt and Pepper Pork, and they did not disappoint. The Mala Tang was a delightful explosion of flavors, loaded with fresh vegetables and perfectly cooked ingredients swimming in a spicy, aromatic broth. Meanwhile, the Salt and Pepper Pork was crispy, savory, and seasoned to perfection, making it a must-try. Moreover, the cleanliness of the establishment is worth noting. It’s clear that they take pride in maintaining a tidy environment for their guests. Overall, this restaurant is undoubtedly our go-to for Chinese cuisine. With great food, attentive service, and a clean atmosphere, it’s a perfect place to enjoy a satisfying meal. Highly recommended!

Feb 2025 My parents had heard about this place and decided to check it out for lunch. The place was dimly lit with soft instrumental music in the background. The staff were polite, friendly, and good about refilling our waters. Note they seem to default to speaking Chinese to Chinese customers. They had 4 person booths around the edges. There were 2-10 person rectangular tables and 6 person round tables (without lazy susans). There was also one 6 person round booth in the back left corner. I also saw 2 private rooms in the back. The food was tasty, if light in flavor. The general tso chicken was apparently not sour enough. Note the golden crispy chicken has a sweet & sour sauce. The chicken for both was tender and moist, with an average amount of breading. The Beijing duck was yummy, coming with a generous amount of shredded cucumber and spring onion. The duck bones were also served, cooked with some additional veggies. One very negative note was the spring roll. It looked good, a nice golden brown, but tasted like it had been cooked in rancid oil. Be wary. Overall, decent service and decent food. We may or may not come again.

I had an excellent dining experience at Kung Fu 12! The restaurant had a great atmosphere for family dining or date night. The restaurant was clean and I liked the decor. The server was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that everything was perfect throughout the meal. The food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious. Their menu is packed with tempting options, but I decided on the teriyaki sizzling beef, beef tendon, and kidney—all of which were flavorful and perfectly cooked. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable, making it a great value for the quality. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Edit again: I think this restaurant needs to work on their consistency. We've ordered the twice cooked pork for 3 weeks in a row and each time has been different. First time it was WAY too salty, next time it had no flavor at all, and the last time it was just straight up burnt. They really don't need to rush and need to spend more time on consistency since each time we go we don't know whether the food will be good or not. Edit: I go here basically weekly at this point and I just have to say that they are incredibly efficient. It's almost scary how fast the food comes out and unlike a ton of Chinese restaurants in the area they have fantastic service and food. I'm very glad Taipei Tokyo is gone since this is an amazing replacement. Honestly this is the best and fastest service I've ever had in a restaurant period. The food came out minutes after ordering. The appetizer was gigantic and delicious. I think the only feedback I have is the beef noodle soup had no flavor. Lots of color but was lacking salt and the noodles were a little too cooked. The pork bao dish was quite good and the mapo tofu was also quite good. Sichuan cuisine in this area has quite a high bar and I think this place has a good standing

This restaurant recently changed ownership (October 2024) and has undergone some renovations, giving it a bright and clean look. It’s not a high-end restaurant, but the prices are relatively high. If you want a decent meal without leftovers and excluding drinks, expect to spend around $50 per person. The Peking duck is served with lotus leaf pancakes, which are very filling—just one is enough to make you feel full. Using the traditional thin pancakes would likely offer a better experience for diners. As for the other dishes, I’ve tried them before and found them fine, but they left no lasting impression. Overall, the food quality is decent—not outstanding, but perfectly acceptable.
