Kung Food Cafe

Finally, Big Sis Texas, EB, and I could meet up and talk! She recommended Kung Food Café because it was close to her work, had great food, not overly crowded and great to actually have some conversations. All of this is true! Mr. G greeted us right when we came in. Yes, a familiar face. A customer of my former employer!!! Drink orders were quickly taken. EB didn't need to look at the menu because she comes here on a fairly regular basis. I needed a little time though. EB ordered a small Egg drop soup and Sautéed String Bean Szechuan Style with added beef. I chose the 2 Egg rolls, then Sweet and Sour Delight (pork, chicken shrimp) with fried rice. 😋 The meal was good and plentiful!!! Had to take a so-called "doggie bag" home. (Had it this evening and have one more serving left!!! You can't even buy groceries for 3 meals for the price I paid for this meal!!! 😉😁) Mr. G was open, friendly and attentative and yet discreet... he realized we had some serious catching up to do! The whole set up was just perfect for us! Enjoy this little tucked away restaurant. I am sure, you would enjoy it 😊!

Ordered to go. Guy taking my order kept saying “what else?” after what I ordered. Seemed to be rushing thru the whole phone call. Got my food and it was ok, but I found a hair in my rice.

Very good Chinese food. The food was hot, tasty and flavorful. I thought the lo mein was great and had lots of chicken ，The lunch special orange chicken was very good as well. It was a great price for a lot of food. Wonton soup and spring roll were solid. I recommend here

The crab puff tasted fishy and so sweet at the same time, caught me off guard and don't recommend at all. I wanted the orange beef off of the specialty menu but for what ever reason they wouldn't do it. The white rice here was weird, didn't taste like the homemade sticky Jasmine white rice I make at home or have at most Chinese places. It was very dry. The sweet and sour chicken was pretty good and you get a good amount for $10, although a little greasy. The teriyaki chicken was actually pretty good, both in flavor and cost at 6.99 for 6 sticks. The lo mein looked unappetizing so I didn't try it but the person it was for didn't eat much of it (it was their whole dinner) and didn't comment on it being good, which they normally do if they enjoy something. Over all I probably wouldn't eat here again unless I was in a pinch for their chicken sticks or sweet and sour chicken and didn't want to drive more than a few miles down the road. Otherwise its just not worth it.

Not sure how this place has 3.5 stars I order off of Uber eats all the time and the food arrives very quickly .. I live about 15 minutes from here and the longest I’ve waited was 30-40 min usually it anrrives in 29.. and always steaming hot. Always fresh and very big portions. I someday just order one meal for me and my husband to share or if I order us each food we always have a lot to eat throughout the day
