About KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot

KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot, while listed under the platform category of Chinese Restaurant, is a bar and restaurant located at 3983 Lavista Rd Ste 101, Tucker, GA 30084, USA. They can be contacted at (470) 545-1901 or +1 470-545-1901. Despite the platform categorization, KPOT specializes in Korean BBQ and Hot Pot cuisine.

Based on customer reviews, the service at KPOT can be a mixed experience. One reviewer noted their server was great—friendly and attentive. However, this positive aspect was overshadowed by significantly slow food delivery, with each order taking at least 15 minutes even during a non-busy late lunch period. Another point of feedback concerned the portion sizes, with meat dishes being described as quite small, while vegetable orders were surprisingly large.

A particularly notable feature, and a point of contention for one customer, is the restaurant's policy regarding food waste. Customers are informed of a potential food waste charge if they do not eat all of their ordered food. For vegetarian/pescatarian diners, staff reportedly mentioned they might not receive the same value compared to meat eaters. Furthermore, a customer was charged $15 to take the remaining half of their vegetarian hot pot soup to go, a policy that was not disclosed upfront and was perceived as contradictory to a stated sustainability initiative. This incident led to the perception of "extortion" and significantly detracted from an otherwise enjoyable experience.

In summary, KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot offers a dining experience centered around Korean BBQ and Hot Pot. While the service can be friendly, potential customers should be aware of potentially slow food delivery, varying portion sizes between meat and vegetables, and the restaurant's policies on food waste charges and fees for taking leftover hot pot soup. No specific promotional information was available in the provided reviews.

My server was great—friendly and attentive—but I’m giving 3 stars because the food took way too long to come out. I visited during a late lunch, so the restaurant wasn’t even busy, yet each order took at least 15 minutes. Also, the portion sizes felt off: the meat dishes were pretty small, while the vegetable orders were huge. The overall experience was just okay.

We had a great time until extortion set in. I am in the sustainability and regenerative field for my career. They spoke of a food waste charge if we didn’t eat all of the food. This is what they say in the beginning at least. We are vegetarian/pescatarians so the staff told us we wouldn’t get the same value since we don’t eat meat up front. This was our Valentine’s Day dinner experience, so we decided to proceed. Particularly because they spoke of a sustainable measure for food waste. We proceeded to eat, the food was great that we cooked. However, I had to take a work zoom call and was getting full so I asked for the other half of my Hot pot soup to go. They then proceeded to say it was $15 to take the rest of my miso broth and vegetable soup to go (I’m vegetarian). Nothing was said up front about this. We paid nearly $100 with tip for two hot pots and I had a little less than 1/2 my soup left. This is not a sustainability initiative and instead is extortion. This ruined our otherwise great experience. Had they said this in the beginning, honestly we would have had a different date night. Unfortunately, them lying about the food waste charge- which is not the case, because they threw away the food that I didn’t take home. So now you’re contributing to food waste further and charging $32 per person to make their own soup as is… highway robbery!

Whether you’re in the mood for all-you-can-eat BBQ or a combination of BBQ and hotpot, this place has something for everyone. The food is delicious, the service is outstanding, and it’s my go-to spot for dinner with friends and family.

Overall really loved this experience!! They had great selection for both hotpot and Korean bbq and they had a great sides bar and dessert options. All you can eat is always fun. I had the miso soup for the hotpot base and loved it. Also highly recommend coming on your actual birthday because they let you eat free after they check your ID. Overall great experience and looking forward to going back soon!!

I finally tried KPot with some friends. The restaurant is huge, clean and modern. We added the hotpot option which is a no brainer. Meat quality was fairly good which was nice. I was told that overall quality of meats has been declining at other AYCE places. The pork belly was pretty thin which was disappointing but I’m thinking that’s because you can either grill or cook in the hotpot. Vegetables were fresh and good looking as well. They had a large selection of sauces and some prepared foods in the back. All in all, we paid $35 per person plus tax which, in this day and age, is a pretty good deal for something like this. The only thing I wish were better was the level of service. I don’t think they had enough servers and when they deliver your meats, they just drop them off on the table without any explanation or identifying which is which. After a couple rounds of orders, they stopped coming around. I’m not sure if they just got too busy or they delay your orders so you leave. I’m not sure. Also, we had to ask the servers about the sauce bar because they never told us. Overall, it was a good experience.
