About KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot
KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot is located at 40 Geoffrey Dr, Newark, DE 19713, USA. While categorized under Chinese Restaurants, customer reviews clearly indicate it offers Korean BBQ and Hot Pot. They can be contacted at (302) 800-9088 or +1 302-800-9088.
Customers describe it as a "nice to try" experience, especially for those new to hot pot. It offers a "different type of dinner" that some have enjoyed enough to visit multiple times.
A key feature is the "all you can eat" format with "really fresh" ingredients, where diners cook their own food at the table. This requires attention to prevent over or undercooking, and some have noted that forgetting the grill can lead to a burning smell. Without ordering expensive drinks, the cost is estimated to be "about $40 a head," suggesting it's best to "come with an empty stomach" to get the most value.
The ordering process uses a tablet, which some find to have a "confusing to traverse" user interface needing improvement. Due to the large number of ingredients, "table space can be hard to deal with if you have a big party." While some find it a unique and appealing "activity dinner/buffet," others note that steakhouses can be around the same price, making it perhaps not an everyday dining option.
Many have had a "great experience," especially those new to Korean Hot Pot, finding it "fun to prep and cook my own food" with the added bonus of being all-you-can-eat. A significant feature is the option to "get both BBQ and Hot Pot for just $5 extra!" This has led to customers expressing a definite plan to return.
Based on these reviews, KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot in Newark, DE, offers a unique, interactive, all-you-can-eat dining experience featuring fresh ingredients for Korean BBQ and Hot Pot, where customers cook their own meals at the table. While the tablet ordering system's UI could be better and table space might be limited for large groups, the overall experience is often described as great and fun, especially for newcomers. The option to combine both BBQ and Hot Pot for a small additional charge is a notable feature. It's recommended to arrive hungry to maximize the value of the all-you-can-eat format, with an estimated cost of around $40 per person without expensive drinks. Local users looking for an engaging dining experience should consider KPOT.
The environment is set up for interactive cooking at each table. Services include an all-you-can-eat format with fresh ingredients for Korean BBQ and Hot Pot, and tablet-based ordering. Key features are the ability to cook your own food, the freshness of ingredients, the all-you-can-eat model, and the option to combine BBQ and Hot Pot for an extra $5. No specific promotional information beyond the BBQ and Hot Pot combo offer is mentioned.

Definitely nice to try this for the first time. I've never had any other hotpot but I've been here twice so its nice to have a different type of dinner. The ingredients were really fresh so its up to you take sure the food isn't over or undercooked. Some people forget about the grill so sometimes it smells as if something is burning. If you don't add any expensive drinks you can expect about $40 a head. All you can eat so come with an empty stomach or you are wasting a bit of money. The process is fairly easy however the tablet can be a bit confusing to traverse, the UI needs a little work. Just realize there will be a lot of ingredients all over your table so table space can be hard to deal with if you have a big party. Going the second time I realized this just isn't what I personally want for a sit down restaurant. I understand the appeal of having an activity dinner/buffet but a lot of steakhouses are around the same price. I didn't take a star away because you have to cook, I gave it 4 stars because its a little more expensive than I would like it to be, not something you can afford to do very often.
This was a great experience! I never had Korean Hot Pot before, so it was even more fun to prep and cook my own food, AND it was all you can eat?? I definitely plan on going back. You can also get both BBQ and Hot Pot for just $5 extra!
Went here last year for my birthday and loved it, decided to come again for Valentine’s Day, had I known they were taking reservations earlier on in the day I would’ve taken it but it wasn’t advertised on their website. So, we waited about an hour and a half after driving an hour to get there. Regardless it was worth it and the food was amazing, I love that you can customize it to your liking. We were seated at a pretty big table meant for 6 people, they really need some seating options for just two people instead of parties of 4 or more.
Not for those gluten free! We stopped in after visiting the Asian market nearby. When I went in I asked about what gluten free food they had available and they gave me a menu. It was a regular menu with foods not gluten free crossed off, pictures included. It seemed that they had a pretty good selection to choose from so we decided to sit down and try the hot pot. For the broth there are only two options, hot water or chicken broth. I went ahead and ordered the chicken broth with the server. Everything else could be ordered through a tablet at the table, since the hot pot fillings were unlimited. When I received the broth it was extremely weak and watered down. The server and hostess did not mention to me that all of the sauces and flavorings that you can add to the broth contain wheat. So I ended up putting a few meat slices, rice noodles, and veggies in the broth but since the sauces and flavorings were off limits the food was very tasteless. There was also no salt to add to anything. I could not eat it and this was an expensive meal for all you can eat, $70 for 2 people. If going with a group and are gluten free I recommend bringing your own sauces and flavorings to flavor the meat and veggies, it’s not allowed but I would do it anyway if you want something edible. I will not be back.
Brought my boyfriend here for his birthday, and it was a really nice experience. I wish I'd asked our waitress her name, because she was fantastic. The food was great... I loved the shrimp dumplings! The spare ribs and garlic chicken were really good, especially with the k-pot sauce. I really love how many veggie options there are as well. It's not a cheap meal, but it's worth it.
