Koto Hibachi Express & Sushi

Driving from Florida, back home to Michigan. Stopped in to Koto. Located in Gainesville, very cool concept. Great vibe! The food was fresh made to order. Love the flavor, fresh ingredients! My Wife and I both had the Hibachi Lunch specials. I had steak my wife shrimp. Both were great made the drive more tolerable!

We were looking for something different for lunch and what a pleasant surprise this place was. We decided pretty quickly for having not been there before, and it didn't take long for the food to come out. The appetizers and meals were both big and plentiful... we were able to take the leftovers home and we had a second meal. I highly recommend this for a try!

A very reasonably priced asian restaurant with good food! I really enjoy their lunch special, as it's around $11 for a plate of hibachi, which includes veggies, rice, and steak, alongside a side ginger salad. The salad is always good and the steak has always been cooked pretty well in my experience. They also have a ton of sushi options, but i've just always come for the lunch hibachi, but I imagine they're good :)

We got the steak teriyaki, hibachi chicken, crab rangoons, takoyaki, and spring rolls. I would not recommend the spring rolls as it is completely lacking flavor. However, the crab rangoons and takoyaki were good! As for the main dishes, I felt that the steak and chicken were a bit chewy, however they did taste good overall and the portion sizes were enough to have leftovers.

This has always been our go-to spot for sushi, but I was disappointed by how stingy they were with the condiments. When I ordered their largest sushi tray, they only provided two sauces. On top of that, the staff member I spoke with was extremely rude and lacked basic customer service skills. They get ruder each time and they have raised their prices. $90 sushi and only 2 free sauces!!!
