While other details about the ambiance or decor are not provided, a clean environment suggests a well-maintained space for both dine-in and takeout customers. The first reviewer also noted that the portions were "great for family style," implying that the restaurant is well-suited for group meals and sharing, which can be a significant draw for families and gatherings.

In terms of services, both reviews highlight the positive aspects of the customer service at Koong's. One reviewer described the service as "quick and friendly," indicating an efficient and pleasant interaction with the staff. This positive feedback about the staff can significantly enhance the overall dining experience, making customers feel valued and more likely to return.

Koong's offers a variety of Chinese dishes, and the reviews provide insights into some of their popular items. The first reviewer mentioned ordering "green beans, wings, beef chow fun, sizzling rice soup." They noted that while the "beef chow fun and green beans could have been a bit more seasoned, they were still delicious." This suggests that while these dishes might not have perfectly matched individual seasoning preferences, the underlying quality and taste were still enjoyable. The "sizzling rice soup" was also part of their order, though no specific feedback was given about this dish in their review.

The second reviewer also ordered the "green beans," but mistakenly received them fried. Despite this, they found them to be "very well prepared and tasted okay," although not what they had initially wanted. They also noted that the portion of green beans was "VERY plentiful," reinforcing the earlier comment about generous portions. This indicates that even a mistakenly prepared dish was still of decent quality and substantial in quantity.

This reviewer also tried the "hot and sour soup + egg roll + fried rice add-on" and "fried chicken wings." They found the "egg roll was much better than your typical one," suggesting a higher quality or a unique preparation that sets it apart from standard egg rolls. The "hot and sour soup" was described as tasting "like most other hot and sour soups," indicating a familiar but perhaps not exceptional rendition. They expressed an intention to try the "won ton" soup on their next visit, suggesting a willingness to explore more of the menu. The "fried rice" was noted as being "much better than average," which is a significant positive, as fried rice is a staple in many Chinese takeout orders.

The standout dish for the second reviewer was undoubtedly the "fried chicken wings," which they described as "some of the best I have had in a long time. Perfectly cooked, tasty, crunchy." They were so impressed that they stated they "would go there just for those any day." This strong endorsement suggests that the fried chicken wings are a must-try item at Koong's and a significant feature that could attract customers specifically seeking high-quality wings.

Based on these reviews, features of Koong's include quick and friendly service, generous portion sizes suitable for sharing, a clean environment, and standout dishes like the fried chicken wings and a better-than-average fried rice. While some dishes like the green beans and beef chow fun might benefit from more seasoning according to one reviewer's preference, they were still considered delicious. The egg roll also seems to be a noteworthy item.

The service here was quick and friendly and the portions were great for family style. We ordered the green beans, wings, beef chow fun, sizzling rice soup. The beef chow fun and green beans could have been a bit more seasoned, but they were still delicious. Overall great experience!

After seeing the good reviews, I decided to grab some takeout from this place. I got the green beans, but I messed up and ordered them fried somehow. I also got the hot and sour soup + egg roll + fried rice add-on, and the fried chicken wings. The green beans were very well prepared and tasted okay, but they just weren't what I had in mind. I'm gonna go back and get them without the breading next time. They were VERY plentiful, though. The egg roll was much better than your typical one. The soup tasted like most other hot and sour soups, so it also wasn't my favorite. I'll try the won ton next time. The fried rice was much better than average. Finally, the chicken wings were some of the best I have had in a long time. Perfectly cooked, tasty, crunchy. I'd go there just for those any day. Finally, the venue was clean and the gentleman at the counter was very nice. I will be back.

Koong's restaurant 103 N Milpitas Blvd, Milpitas, CA 95035 We had an early dinner. Restaurant had one other couple in the dining room. We were greeted quickly and served promptly. Atmosphere was quiet, food was delicious, price was reasonable, and service was warm. We ate the hot and sour soup & Mongolian beef meal. We will eat here again soon.

I thought it was Korean-style Chinese food, but there are many differences. LIANG ZHANG PI is plentiful and tastes as ordinary as we imagined. The sweet and sour pork was very disappointing. It wasn't a Korean-style sauce, the batter was a bit hard, and the meat had a bad smell because it wasn't seasoned. However, the quick and friendly service from the servers is really great. I plan to try different food on my next visit.

Large portion sizes. It seems like it's catered for customers that don't want anything too seasoned. An example is that they allow you to choose how much of the sauce for the honey walnut prawns you want to add. Another example is that most dishes I had from fried rice to noodles didn't seem flavorful (compared to other chinese restaurants in the bay). This is something that can be easily fixed at home with some salt and pepper, but not sure how it is if you dine in. Overall, a 4 star for taste, but I'd still recommend this for those who prefer a ligher palette since they offer generous portion sizes.
